25.01.2022 The Walkerville Cricket Club seeks applications for the role of Senior Coach for the 2018/19 season and beyond. The club fields 4 senior teams in the ATCA competition (A1, A3, B3 & LO4) plus has 17 junior sides in the ATCA and NEJCA competitions. Our last 3 years have produced numerous finals appearances including Grand Final appearances last season for our A1 and C1 teams which have also lead to promotions in the last 2 years for our B grade (to A3) and our C grade (to B3).... The successful candidate should have (but not limited to): Prior coaching experience at an ATCA or SACA club Level 1 or higher coaching accreditation (preferred) Good communicator with people Have excellent people management skills Willingness to improve our playing group Work with our juniors and help their transition into senior cricket Play an active role in recruitment where neccessary All enquires and applications can be sent via email: The President Paul Reid Email: [email protected] Remuneration is negotiable. 22.01.2022 C Grade fought back hard from a tough start and managed to put 230 on the board against Mawson Lakes at the Cattery. Well done Harry Rogers with a solid 58 and as we have done all year- a strong team effort by the cats. Come down to the Cattery tomorrow to support the lads if you can!

The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket. Master Blaster- Master Blasters is a super fun, social, safe, cricket program for boys and girls aged seven to 12. The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. All the equipment is supplied and the games take place at the same venue each week, at a local cricket club or community centre. 17.01.2022 Friday Night Cricket at the Cattery! Tomorrow night the 26th of October we launch the inaugural games on the new Flicx wickets at Walkerville. These new pitches will allow two games of U10s to be played on the hallowed turf of Walkerville at the same time. Games start at 6pm and the Club will be open from 545pm, we will have music being played and a bbq on the night and we encourage everyone to come down and enjoy the evening. Good luck to the U10 Pumas and U10 Leopards and we hope you enjoy this special occasion!

16.01.2022 Walkerville Cricket club would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone that helped us last Saturday for our Bunnings BBQ It really was a fantastic day and all the hard work from the following people paid off with the WCC making a great profit from the day!!! Thank you to Mark Webber (Chief Organiser!) Daniel Giles... Scott Griffin Tim and Lucas Donlan Carol Young and super Charlie Soole Mal Ayliffe Bruce Mayberry Gareth Cox and all that visited and purchased a snag on the day. While it was a lot of hard work and over 1,100 sausages sold on the day, it was an enjoyable day spent raising money for the club. I encourage everyone to put their hand up when the opportunity arises again, the funds raised will be put towards the purchase of some much-needed sun shades for our Jnr and Snr teams that do not get to play home games at Walkerville. I would also like to thank some local businesses for their support on the day. A special mention to Norwood Foodland for providing our bread as it was a massive help and very much appreciated. Congratulations to both Malcolm "Hook" Ayliffe and Bruce "Magnum" Mayberry on their inductions. Well deserved and both absolutely represent the way Walkerville want to play and respect the game we all love.
