12.01.2022 Opening of Camping Reserve bookings Bookings for the rest of the year, including Melbourne Cup weekend AND the Summer Peak period, will open at 9am on Thursday October the 22nd. This encompasses the period from Oct 26th through until Jan 26th 2021. Bookings will be accepted from all regions. Admission will be subject to Victorian Government Covid-19 restrictions in place at the time of intended stay. Any regional restrictions in effect will be determined using the address sh...own on your driver’s licence. One person is permitted to book a maximum of two sites. Bookings will have availability capped at 60% of normal capacity to allow for reduced occupancy and physical distancing. The reduced capacity will be achieved by blocking off some sites. In the booking system, blocked sites will be indistinguishable from booked sites; both will appear in red as unavailable. Further information as to how the reduced capacity will be achieved will be provided as soon as practical. Due to Covid-19, the following arrangements are currently in place at Walkerville Foreshore Camping Reserve: Everyone over 12 must wear a fitted face mask covering their nose and mouth when they leave home, unless a lawful exemption applies. Up to 10 people can gather in outdoor spaces such as public playground, BBQ areas, beach, kiosk, communal campfires etc while staying 1.5 metres apart Communal facilities, including toilets, showers and BBQ’s, are open. There is a Covid-19 declaration form attached to the reminder email that must be completed and returned before check in. Admission to the camping reserve is not permitted unless a signed declaration form has been returned. The Covid-19 related requirements may change before the date of your planned stay at Walkerville Foreshore Camping Reserve. You will receive an email prior to your arrival containing up to date requirements. Given the changing nature of the Covid-19 restrictions, the planned Oct 22nd release date may be postponed. All bookings will be subject to cancellation or change by the Walkerville Foreshore Reserve Committee of Management Inc (WFRCoM). In the event that a booking is cancelled by the WFRCoM, you will be entitled to a full refund. No refund will be offered if the WFRCoM changes your booking, such as allocating you to another site. All other government directives such as social distancing, not visiting the Reserve when unwell and personal hygiene/hand washing etc must be adhered to all at times.

04.01.2022 Booking Updates Due to Covid 19, the opening of bookings for the March long weekend, April school holidays and Easter long weekend 2021 will not occur on October 1st. They will remain on hold along with the Melbourne Cup weekend and the Summer peak until further notice.

03.01.2022 Camping Reserve OPEN at reduced Capacity From 11:59pm on 16 September, regional communities progressed to the Third Step of the Victorian Government Roadmap to Reopening policy. The Walkerville Foreshore Reserve Camping Reserve will open at a reduced capacity for Regional Victorians from Monday 21st September to 26th October 2020. Camping beyond this date will be confirmed at a later date or when the next step of the Victorian Government’s Roadmap to Reopening has been reache...d. Opening of Cup weekend and peak summer holiday bookings will also be announced when the next step has been reached. Release of Easter and Labour Day weekend 2021 bookings are on hold until further notice. Due to the recent changes to the restriction levels in Victoria there are some important things to know before you come to Walkerville. Current First Step restrictions apply to Melbourne metropolitan areas therefore we will NOT be accepting any bookings from people who live in these areas. Exercise and recreation will not be a reason to travel into or out of these areas. It is compulsory to wear a mask within the Walkerville Foreshore Camping Reserve. We are open and accepting bookings from people who live within Regional Victoria as shown on your drivers license. Up to 10 people can gather in outdoor spaces such as public playground, BBQ areas, beach, kiosk, communal campfires etc while staying 1.5 metres apart Campsites and accommodation will be open to residents of Regional Victoria. Bookings can be made online with a maximum of your nominated Household Bubble requirements. Communal facilities, including toilets, showers and BBQ’s, will be open. There is a Covid declaration form attached to the reminder email that must be completed and returned before check in. No admission to the camping reserve is allowed without a signed declaration form returned. The reduced capacity has been achieved by blocking off sites.
