22.01.2022 Once upon a time in Samsara, three guys set out upon a pilgrimage from suburbia to rubbish, to more rubbish, and more rubbish, and more rubbish on the side of the road. Through the Australian outback - barren lands, dry plain - to finally reach the mountainous outskirts of Melbourne. Camping and journeying through Lerderderg National Park accompanied by a fellow wanderer named Dara, what originally set out to be 83kms turned into 93 (with a few wrong turns in 30 degree bliste...ring heat and blistering feet). But the wanderers made it. This was Day Two. The final day, 10kms to go. It was cold and wet. A community of approximately 30 people joined the last part of the walk to the monastery, uplifting the momentum of the cause. A feeling of friendliness, warmth and camaraderie. It was a moment that won't be forgotten. Dear friends who contributed in whatever way, thank you kindly for making this event as meaningful as it was. Your generosity will spread far and wide as simple acts shouldn't be overlooked. A precious thing, the gift of freedom.

20.01.2022 The big walk has begun! Wishing the boys a safe and fruitful journey

16.01.2022 TRANSPORTATION Note: this post was edited on 27th November 2018. Hi guys, the big walk is happening next week! If you're interested in joining us for the last l...eg on 2nd December and need transport, please comment on this post along with the location you are coming from so that we can help to coordinate transport. The plan is to drive up to the Blackwood Pub Hotel, a local pub on Martin St (near the Holiday Park) - the new starting point of the walk will be outside the pub. For those who are able to go on their own, please head straight there. There is plenty of parking along the street. Please keep in mind that we aim to start walking by 7.30 am to make it in time for lunch dana at the monastery at 10.30 am (so feel free to bring food to offer). After the walk, we will drive everyone back from the monastery to Blackwood Hotel, and head back from there. If you have any questions, message this page or contact Asish at 0415185400 or Khema at 0434982756.
