25.01.2022 People walk erratically when theyre distracted by mobile phones. They dont walk straight, Prof Wall said. You lose focus. And if theyve got their earbuds in listening to music, it means they dont hear the approach of a vehicle."

22.01.2022 How many times are those on foot forced to dangerously walk around an impatient and inconsiderate driver stopped over a crosswalk? More speed bumps, slower speed limits, and still we see no change! Walk Safe Look Safe want to provide you with an alternative.

22.01.2022 "Hurried pedestrians darting across the road with their heads in their phones is a common scene on busy Australian roads, where one pedestrian is killed every day." ONE pedestrian killed in Australia EVERY day. The stats are shocking. If we can get Walk Safe Look Safe installed across Australia, we can save young lives!

22.01.2022 The Pedestrian Council of Australia is calling for the government to crack down on distracted pedestrians by issuing them with a $200 fine for not paying attention when crossing the road. The aim of the fine is to deter pedestrians from doing things like listening to music or texting when crossing the road as it can have very serious consequences. We think we might have a better solution in WA - in the form of the LED lights of Walk Safe Look Safe!

21.01.2022 We think we have a solution for you WA - Walk Safe Look Safe could be that extra care that pedestrians need to stay safe on our roads!

20.01.2022 Even a quick chat on the phone can be hazardous while youre walking. "The very act of talking on a phone is a heightened risk, even if its a hands-free conversation," insists Professor Tim Horberry of the Accident Research Centre at Monash University. "Reaction time drops further when youre texting."

19.01.2022 After 6 weeks of summer holidays its back to school for thousands of students throughout the state!! Were cheering on the kids of the future as they enter a new year of discovery, learning and new experiences! Parents and caregivers remind your children to STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! THINK! every time they cross the road and dont forget to discuss the importance of road safety. Walk Safe Look Safe thinks education is key! If we can get Walk Safe Look Safe installed across Australia, we can save young lives! #backtoschool #roadsafety #ledlights #traffic #school #schoolzone #walking

17.01.2022 Proudly brought to you by EXPANSION STRIP WA is our LED Pedestrian Warning System. Expansion Strip WA has been owned and manufacturing in WA for over 20 years. We attribute our longevity in the industry by focusing on our clients needs, moving with the times and adhering to our core business values. One of our newest designs includes our LED Pedestrian Warning System - we have Smart Phones but Dumb People, sadly. With our growing need to have our life on ...our phone, we need stop adding to the statistics. Is our phone actually killing us? What if we took a preventative approach and installed our warning system in the ground, because that currently has our attention not a warning system 2.5m up in the air. We have all been caught unaware by the rapid growth of technology and our need for it. Do we own our phone or does our phone own us? Also with shared pathways in our communities there is a need for pedestrians and cyclists to co exist, so we have developed a joint warning system called Cycle Safe - Ride Safe - LED Cyclist Warning Bollard. 14.01.2022 If we dont do something about pedestrian deaths soon, the figures are going to keep rising. Walk Safe Look Safe has been designed to save lives with its LED pedestrian-crossing system. We want to see it installed across Australia.

14.01.2022 #MondayMotivation for the look Walk Safe Look Safe system as we continue to spread the word about road safety. The Walk Safe Look Safe system is hard-wired to the existing WALK/DO NOT WALK signage at controlled from the existing system. When the existing WALK signs illuminate green, so does the floor mounted Walk Safe Look Safe LED warning lights. Conversely the same is true, the red DO NOT WALK signs illuminate the red Walk Safe Look Safe LED warning lights. It will provide an additional safety alert for pedestrians and this project has been initiated to reduce incidents or near misses between pedestrians and vehicles.

09.01.2022 Have we become so caught up in the lives within our phones that we forget to look where we're walking?

08.01.2022 By the end of today, most of us will have checked our phones over 150 times; on the toilet, in the car, at the dinner table, even when crossing the road. But, have we ever stopped to ask ourselves - has our smartphone obsession reached a new and dangerous low? Help give Walk Safe Look Safe a chance by supporting us and you will be left questioning why we never had this innovation sooner... https://www.walksafelooksafe.com.au

08.01.2022 And thats just one State of Australia! Walk Safe Look Safe can reduce this statistic, but we need you behind us! Will you join us?

08.01.2022 Around 6,000 pedestrians died on US roads in 2017 - and the numbers are climbing. Why? Researchers think it might have something to do with the use of smartphones. Between 2010 and 2016, the number of smartphones in the US increased from 78 million to 262 million.... Coincidence? We dont think so. Thats where the idea for Walk Safe Look Safe came from - we need to do something to save lives, and we think this is it. See more

08.01.2022 Honolulu has taken this course of action to reduce pedestrian deaths. We think we might have a better solution in WA - in the form of the LED lights of Walk Safe Look Safe!

07.01.2022 "Pedestrians risk losing their lives by crossing the road while texting on mobile phones!" (Link attached) We are living in a world of smart phones and not so smart people with pedestrians stepping into traffic and walking into street poles because theyre distracted by their smartphones. Walk Safe Look Safes LED lights are embedded in the ground at pedestrian crossings to warn pedestrians of an unsafe situation ahead of them, grabbing the attention of even the smartphone zombies!

07.01.2022 "You stand at one of those intersections in the CBD for half an hour and youll see five or 10 people just being saved or stopping themselves from walking out into traffic because they were looking down at their phone," Spokesperson Paul Turner for RACQ Queensland. Signs and fines just dont seem to be enough these days. Walk Safe Look Safe can reduce these statistics with our LED light system embedded into the ground which warns the pedestrians of the danger ahead. Stopping the incident BEFORE it happens! We need you behind us! Will you join us?

06.01.2022 Were so pleased that the State Member for Perth, John Carey MLA, sees the importance of Walk Safe Look Safe! His letter of support means the world to us. "Great cities around the world understand that walkability is a key ingredient to healthy and liveable communities. "A critical factor of improving walkability is the need to improve pedestrian safety - making it simply safer for people to walk from A to B. The ever-increasing use of smartphones is changing pedestrian behaviour - and making our streets unsafe. "I genuinely believe the Walk Safe Look Safe initiative is worthy of consideration as part of an overall strategy to increase pedestrian safety and make our cities walkable."

05.01.2022 Have we become so caught up in the lives within our phones that we forget to look where were walking?

04.01.2022 Theyre smart phones, but not-so-smart people! Thats why we came up with Walk Safe Look Safe - a WA-made pedestrian-warning system that alerts distracted pedestrians to oncoming dangers.

04.01.2022 Did you know that Walk Safe Look Safe not only concerns pedestrians but also the safety of cyclists through our WALK SAFE LOOK SAFE - LED Pedestrian Warning System and LOOK SAFE CYCLE SAFE- LED Cyclist Warning Bollard. As pedestrians used shared pathways with Cyclists the bollard was invented via a meeting we had with the Head of Cyclists Western Australia for the Public Transport Authority. We want to stop the accident before it happens...for both pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. If we can get Walk Safe Look Safe installed across Australia we can save lives! #lifelessons #sharedroads #pedestrians #cyclists #accidents #newyear #chnage #LEDlights #road #roadsafety #outlook #perspective #resolutions

04.01.2022 In WA, each pedestrian accident costs the taxpayer $6 million. Wouldnt you rather your money was used to prevent accidents, instead? Thats where Walk Safe Look Safe comes into play. We want to see Walk Safe Look Safe installed as standard at every controlled blackspot intersections. We want to save lives.

01.01.2022 These traffic lights are a great initiative, but work more as a band-aid than a prevention system! Walk Safe Look Safe is an LED pedestrian-warning system that alerts the pedestrian of any dangers well before accidents happen.
