07.01.2022 What a strange year 2020 has been. Devastating bushfires, a global pandemic, the emergence of cross border communities. There has been a lot that’s been sad and bad in 2020 but there has also been good. There has been much sadness for everyone and for all we seem to have missed this year, but we have also seen an amazing resilience and strength in our community. Thank you for your patience, your kindness and for looking out for each other. From all of us here we wish you ...and your family a joyful and safe holiday season, and we look forward to a fantastic 2021. It’s our 10th birthday and we have such a special year planned (just you wait). Our doors are now closed and we will re-open on January 4, 2021. We can’t wait to see you!

04.01.2022 A new delivery in our mailbox with this contribution from Bordertown and a strange tale of a mix-up of architects plans and the local High School. As the tale ...goes, in 1953 plans for the new building were sent to the wrong school and resulted in the building being pegged out facing South instead of North. Turns out this was a happy accident. To this day the hot summer sun shines into the corridor rather than the classrooms. Phew! Thank you Rae, what a lovely contribution!

03.01.2022 This week we acknowledge @naidocweek and reflect on the rich history and culture of First Nation peoples. The theme this year 'Always Was, Always Will Be' recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. This week is a great opportunity to visit to the gallery and spend some time with Kunyi June Anne McInerney: My Painting Speak For Me. This exhibition is a sensitive exploration of the experiences of cultural loss, separa...tion from family, and finding happiness amongst hardship. - Image credit: Kunyi June Anne McInerney, Mission Buildings with Dining Area, 2017, acrylic on canvas, 61x91 cm.
