21.01.2022 It is with great sadness we heard of the surprising passing of Brian Mills this morning. With always a smile and laugh together Brian and Tezah have been great friends and supporters of Wallaby Refuge from the donation of our wallaby incubator for the tiny pinkies to many calls re: wildlife care in their gardens at Amaroo. I will miss our visits and chats together. My heart goes out to Tezah and family.

17.01.2022 On 12 May Wallaby Refuge on Magnetic Island was contacted by a local resident concerning a large number of rock wallabies found dead in her neighbourhood. With no markings of trauma no one knew the cause and many bodies were reportedly buried. Through the work of this resident, Katrina Goudkamp, and Wallaby Refuge on Magnetic Island a local notice went out to only the 2 streets where animals were found, asking for information allowing the collation of information on sick or d...Continue reading
