17.01.2022 TOW HITCH AND TOW BALL. Did you know that a 50mm tow ball can only be used up to 3,500kg towing capacity? If using a 50mm tow ball, with the tow vehicle in it's... 'as-used' state, the tow bar / hitch must be capable of being adjusted so that the centre of the 50mm tow ball is between 350mm and 460mm from the ground. There are no height requirements for other types of hitches. For best towing practice, the caravan should be level when in the normal loaded and towing position. Stay safe. Cheers Ken #truckfriendly
