17.01.2022 Below is an email from a happy client yesterday. He had never been in trouble and was deeply embarrassed and remorseful to find himself in Court. We negotiated the matter before his first day in Court so charges were substituted immediately and he pleaded guilty at the very first opportunity. 10.01.2022 This week saw the end of a 2.5 year journey for a client in the District Court. They had maintained their innocence from the very first day and after progressing through the Magistrates Court to the District Court a trial commenced and a jury were impaneled. On the first day an issue arose and after hearing submissions from our extremely experienced Counsel, the Prosecution discontinued all very serious charges and our client walked free. We take great pride in achieving just... outcomes like this one and are over the moon for our client to have ended their journey in such a favourable way. Their family were overjoyed, which was shared by everyone in our office. Seeing them do a little dance of happiness after Court was almost as good as hearing the charges be formally dismissed. A well-deserved victory for our client which reminds us why we do this job! See more
