Mrs Chrissie Teow has returned to Grade 3. We are happy to report her trip to Singapore was successful and h...er father is now doing well. She will be taking over Foundation and Grade 1 Performing Arts and the current teacher Mrs Kelly Ratcliffe will be taking on the Tutor role in Grade 1. We currently have 80 children enrolled and how many teachers we need for Foundation in 2021 depends on our final enrolment numbers. 03.01.2022 2021 Tutor Program The Education Department has notified Wallarano that they will provide considerable funding to implement a Tutor Program across the school throughout 2021. The goal is to catch children up in their learning if they have fallen behind and to further extend the children who have done very well and need enrichment and extension. The money will enable us to employ six tutors all qualified teachers- for 3 days every week. We are very busy employing these tutor...s and are very happy to say most of them are Wallarano teachers who are currently on leave. These tutors will work in a variety of ways most of the time taking small targeted groups in the classroom and when required sometimes withdrawing children for one on one tuition. We are also hoping to restart the Bridges Tutor program if more restrictions are lifted next year. See more

03.01.2022 Good Luck and Goodbye Miss Amy Burns Today is officially last day at Wallarano for Amy Burns before she commences maternity leave. Amy is an extremely popular and exemplary Foundation teacher and has provided an exciting, welcoming and successful first year at school for many students. She has worked at Wallarano for 10 years and has proven herself to be an extremely important and popular member of our community. We wish her great joy and delight as she enters motherhood and look forward to lots of photos of her very lucky baby. Mrs Bessie Hanley, a former Foundation teacher at Wallarano, has been working alongside Amy for the last 2 weeks to get to know the children and ensure a smooth transition for the students of Foundation Room 34 during the last four weeks of the 2020 school year.
