25.01.2022 For the first time two members from our club participated in an RC Laser sponsored event at Harts Mill, Port Adelaide over the Weekend of 31st Oct, 1st Nov. There were 20 races scheduled over the two days with 11 boats entering. Saturday saw wind conditions around 15 to 20 knots with Sunday 5 to 10 knots. With Neville Hank and Peter Elverd quite new to the class both were looking forward to the racing. First race saw Neville pull out with problems and Peter finished 10th. Fro...m then on both steadily improved with Peter in 5th and Neville in 7th at the end of the days racing. Sunday saw calmer conditions and the A rig was put into use. Neville had a few problems with his electronics causing him to have 3 DNF and ended up in 9th position. Peter managed to always be in the mix and finished 3rd overall. Both members thought it was a great event, Harts Mill Port Adelaide was great place to sail and both are looking forward to sailing down there again. Peter Elverd
