25.01.2022 Congratulations to our stage 3 debating teams using Zoom in their first debating round against Leura PS. Wangaroos had a great debate as the affirmative team. This was awarded to Leura, with the outcome close. Wang Wizards as the negative team gave 3 three convincing arguments and rebuttals to win the debate. ... Thank you to Miss Colless, Mrs Nancarrow and Mrs Sheehan for their work in preparing the students. In round 2 our teams will debate against each other. Mrs Lamborn Principal

24.01.2022 Today 3/4 Purple celebrated their class acknowledgment with a special fort making afternoon. They had a wonderful time building and playing in their forts!

21.01.2022 Supporting Legacy Next week is Legacy Week and the SRC are selling products to raise money for the the Legacy Foundation, an organisation that supports veterans and their families. There are a range of products available including; wristbands, pins, keyrings and pens. Prices range from $2 to $5. Please help our school support a great initiative.

18.01.2022 Our Early Bird students had a lovely time at Kindergarten transition today. They enjoyed a story and some cutting and pasting activities. They also spent some time learning how to play safely on the equipment at big school.

12.01.2022 Today was the first day of our paper plane flying competition inspired by the movie Paper Planes. Some keen Stage 3 students tested their piloting skills during lunchtime in the hall. Jayden Austin was our champion pilot throwing 13.7m followed by Logan Gurney 11.5m and Wil Handel 11m. Stage 2 will have their chance to compete tomorrow!

04.01.2022 MAGAZINES WANTED Stage 2 are working on informative texts this term and will be looking at writing their own magazine articles during their writers workshop. We are looking for child appropriate magazines to help support this unit and we would appreciate any donations of suitable magazines that the students can use as part of this unit. Magazines could range from NatGeo Kids to magazines about gardening, motorbikes etc. This is a perfect chance to have a clean out and recycle... some of those great magazines. 04.01.2022 With the support of our wonderful P&C we have planned an amazing whole school acknowledgement day. What a wonderful way to acknowledge the hard work and resilience of our students during what has been a very difficult year!

You all did an outstanding job and although your families were not able to watch your delivery today, you did yourselves proud. 02.01.2022 Stage 3 - Zooming! Stage 3 normally celebrate their writing with their peers across the stage. However with current Covid restrictions the Stage 3 teachers decided to use their technical skills and set up a special zoom meeting so that the students could still share their poetry with the other classes. Well done to our Stage 3 students and our wonderful teachers as well.

02.01.2022 1/2 Pink had a fabulous time on Friday afternoon with their class acknowledgement. We had a pyjama and free play afternoon and we had so much fun we were ready for bed as soon as school finished.

01.01.2022 Round 2 of the paper plane challenge. Today it was Stage 2s turn to test their paper plane building skills. The goal was 15m but we didnt quite get there today. Our Champion pilot was Koby Neil 13m, followed by Tyler Smith 9.7m and finally Cooper Perry closely behind on 9.6m.
