25.01.2022 With plenty of time on my hands I've started the process of cleaning back and repainting the lime wash on the winding wall and fountain. It always takes as long to prepare as it does the paint, but worth the work for the effect when it's finished.

22.01.2022 Here we are at the end of March so here are some of the glorious lotus still flowering at the moment. Their form and colour remind me how I got hooked on these beautiful plants.
21.01.2022 At present the gardens and nursery are still open. For the safety of staff and visitors we are practicing social distancing, keeping 1.5 meters apart. We request anyone with flu like symptoms not to visit. We will update the news here if the emerging advice means we need to close at some later date.
21.01.2022 Damage from small hail yesterday on lilies and lotus, in about 10 days new leaves will replace the damaged ones and all will be well. They are resiliant plants.

19.01.2022 Here it is , the second week in November and we have our first lotus flowers open. This one, 'Golden heart', has huge, tall flowers and a glowing centre, especially on these overast days. From now till Autumn we will be selling lotus in their own 33 cm flower buckets. Remember to phone 02 49380230 to book an arrival time as we are still managing traffic/ numbers.
17.01.2022 Michael has finished his rock wall garden in the rainforest, a project of about 5 years in the making, already planted with ferns,foliage plants and orchids.

11.01.2022 In the garden the recent rain has triggered lots of plants to flower. This tree is covered in both flower and fruit right now. It is the Irish strawberry tree. A terrific evergreen shade tree, hardy to cold and really pretty.

06.01.2022 When you have been in the one place for a very long time you need to redo some things, like the bridge we made 25 or so years ago. We removed the bridge and gradually rebuilt it and the new bridge stands back in pride of place over the pond.

03.01.2022 Well 2020, your at it again. Friday afternoon we had 10 minutes of small hail with the storm. There is damage to waterlilies and lotus. Good news is they recover quickly as new leaves come up.
