24.01.2022 We hope everyone had a great weekend and those who received their ‘silly socks’ enjoyed them.

23.01.2022 Wednesday In the morning we played our usual game off Red Rover Cross Over with the children strategically planning which way they should run and how to trick the other children. In the afternoon the children participating in craft created 3D landscapes in particular beaches and oceans using crayons with educator Nic.... In the dramatic play area miss D extended on the game they were playing by making a "carrier" for the baby using material from another game. Towards the end of the day educator Mon gave the remaining children a challenge.... the challenge was to find any container in the hall that they could use to carry water to our garden. The children found a drink bottle, the jenga blocks ice cream container, a bigger toy container and then a small one as well. We walked down to the garden to water it and to see how it's going (we are getting lots of strawberries comming through and the tomatoes have grown alot!!).

20.01.2022 Today's Vacation Care Plan: Bootcamp

19.01.2022 Photos from yesterday (Monday 31st August) Extending on learning about dinosaurs (the last activity the children made dinosaur bones and become intrigued with other parts of the dinosaurs body) so we made dinosaur claws!!!! Mr A created hes claws (nails) by drawing around hes hand and then cutting them out. While Mr M made hes dino nails by freely drawing them with deciding to make small "scartchy" nails. Miss E decided to spend more time colouring in her dino hands to be a "...pretty dino". After making them they were quite happy to join in with other activities wearing their hands (Mr A playing "what's the time mr wolf").

17.01.2022 Good Morning OOSH families!!! With the new OOSH procedures comming into place, each week we will post up the menu and program for the week so that everyone will be able to still view it and know what's taking place at OOSH. Have an awesome day everyone!

16.01.2022 Thursday :) Painting, hair styling, board games, Oz tag and Lego! A big thank you to one of our OOSH families for donating a lovely dolls head for our children to continue learning different hair styles and to extend on their interest.

15.01.2022 Today's Vacation Care Plan: Carnival Day

15.01.2022 One of our amazing educators made apple crumble for the children this afternoon... and it's safe to say it was devoured! After Mr B ate some he came running up to the hall from the blue tables with a smiling face saying "come on everyone come on, it's good, its soooooooo good". Well done educator Aimee!! ... We have also been slowly adding new/different fruit and veg to our platters alongside of our usual apples, watermelon, carrotts, mandarins and oranges. We have tried pineapple, avocado, pumpkin and beetroot.

15.01.2022 What happened at OOSH today?.... The children played schools, picnics, go karts, pillow fights, board games, handball, hoola hooping and some skipping! A big thank you to one of our lovely OOSH parent for donating some resources, they have been utilized to build the childrens numeracy and literacy skills as mini whiteboards. A group of children played "schools" for just about the whole afternoon.... & This morning Mr O enjoyed some relaxing time before school on the comfy beanbags. In our construction area two children have been very intrigued in building pretend swords. This has sparked conversations between the educator and two children about building and how we can keep their creations safe for the next day.

14.01.2022 Photos from Monday! We were very lucky to have three children perform some dance moves that they had practiced in the morning. In the afternoon there was some very eager children for Lasagne for the afternoon snack... since the lasagne took a little longer then expected to cook the children created a song for the lasagne to cook "faster".... (the fruit and veggie platter was devoured while we waited and sung the fast song).... We have also been looking at ways to create a more inviting areas. With our big coloured mat it has been used to make a dramatic play area more inviting to the children when they play picnics, doll hair, cafes and lots more.

13.01.2022 What a great day we had at OOSH today with our wonderful team. We were able to paint and seal a lot of our shelves, steam clean the mats and van and wash the van. With everything clean and sorted, we are looking forward to Vacation Care:)

12.01.2022 We had a very busy afternoon today! -We had a fire evacuation drill (when the children heard the whistle they promptly lined up while helping and communicating to some of our new children what they need to do, very proud!) -In the Gross Motor area the children played... skipping rope games for example "helicopter, helicopter" and handball. -Mr M created a playground using a tree and other resources like sticks and rope with and added bonus of a "spy place" behind some branches. -At the literacy table Miss E and L used the resources to draw portraits of each other. - Mr A has been confidently communicating with the educators about hes knowledge and how much he is learning through counting and colour recognition. -Lastly our amazing educator Aimee has once again cooked up a storm with the yummiest pizza scrolls.

12.01.2022 Today's Vacation Care Plan: Tech Day

11.01.2022 Monday!! Woah, what a hot day! In the morning we visited our oosh garden with the children discussing what we are going to use it for. Mr M was visibly excited by smiling and jumping up and down saying "mmmm I love strawberries" and "I love celery its nice and crunchy".... In the afternoon we changed our sport activity from playing in the sandpit to a water fight, which was thoroughly enjoyed by alot of children.

11.01.2022 Very excited to see our dinosaur eggs "hatch" tomorrow! What was learnt from making these?! -Cause and effect -Sensory exploration... -Following step by steps -Measurements (Fingers crossed they don't hatch over night)

11.01.2022 Our upcoming Vacation Care program :) If you would like a copy please email us, or you can get a physical copy when you are picking up or dropping of your child. (Ask the educator that is signing out/in your child at the gate). We are also taking expression of interest for Vacation Care December. The dates of Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th. We will need atleast 12 children booked in to operate for these days. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to the children mastering their pen skills and receiving their licences! Some very proud children at OOSH today

08.01.2022 A wonderful thursday was had today :) We made dino claws again for craft with educator Yordi. There was alot of eagerness to help educator Mon in the office with programming, labeling and sorting.... & Inside the hall a group of children utilized mondays craft box and turned it into a "sled" by pulling each other around on it.

05.01.2022 On Monday one of our educators bought in a very big box. Our ooshies absolutely love using recyclable items and their imagination to create some very wonderful things. Monday afternoon saw the children using half to create a home for their ooshies that they are collecting from Woolworths and then the other half was used for a bed/lounge for the relaxation area.

04.01.2022 This morning we ended BSC with a very exilerating game of Red Rover Cross Over with educator Yordi while listening to some music. This afternoon Sparkey welcomed the children to afterschool care with a picnic setup with 3 children excitedly join Sparkey after getting signed in. Miss P displayed excitement and fondness when walking over to Sparkey by saying "awww Sparkey your here", with miss E calling over one of her close friends to join them while Mr M explored what was in ...the picnic basket. For Sport a group of children joined educator Joshua on the field. They played a some rounds of Red Rover Cross Over to warm up, with Mr A and Mr H volunteering to be in. After the warm up some children decided to play soccer while other played tips or kicked the ball around. In total there was 13 children that joined for sport. What an exciting Thursday we had!!
