It will be regularly emptied by the Allira House Op Shop based at Cessnock. For any general questions regarding the collection bin please message this page. 09.01.2022 A big thank you to the Wallsend volunteers who recently catered a very special breakfast for all the staff at Macquarie College. How amazing does this look!

09.01.2022 Here's my final thought as I say my goodbyes and finish my ministry at Wallsend Church and Macquarie College. Where would you like to be in 1 year from now? 2 ...years? 5 years? What are you sowing into your life for your future? As a goodbye gift of thanks to Wallsend Church for being a huge blessing to us over the last 6 years, today Becca and I, had Jeff's help in planting three mango trees on our beautiful Wallsend church grounds. We hope they'll be a blessing in the years to come. (Huge thanks to Jeff for agreeing to look after them!) God's Word teaches us to think about what we are sowing into our lives for tomorrow. What do you want 2025 to look like ... for your health, your finances, your marriage, your family, your house, your career, your service to others, your spiritual life? We will all be somewhere in 5 years! You create your future with the decisions of today: the big one's and the thousands of little "insignificant" ones. They all add up. I've been telling Jess that my eating ice cream every night in bed is just a one-off. The thing is, those little one-offs are really adding up! Another thing that stops us sowing good seed into our future is the fear that if we put in all the effort to "plant a mango tree" (building the boxes, buying good soil, planting the plants & giving the on-going care) they could still just die or not produce the fruit we want. But one thing is for sure, if we don't step out in faith and try, we know nothing new will happen. We have to take a risk. Galatians 6:8-9 says sow seeds to please the Holy Spirit rather than our selfish impulses and in this way we will reap life rather than death. God actually wants to give us His Spirit's power to sow for the best future. And He freely forgives. It's great to have a fresh start. It's the perfect time of year to invite God into your life, asking for a new beginning and for all of His help, grace and blessings. I hope you do! Happy New Year! May you sow seeds today that you're thankful for tomorrow! Ben.
