22.01.2022 WALLY BATES MEMORIAL BOXING CLUB PLAN TO RECOMMENCE TRAINING AFTER COVID-19 SHUTDOWN Monday/Wednesday sessions ... The following plan will be put in place to allow Wally Bates Memorial Boxing Club to recommence training sessions on Monday and Wednesday nights after Covid-19 shutdown:- The Club will run its usual session commencing at 6.30pm and finishing at 7.30pm starting Monday the 15th of June. Each training session will be limited to 25 members to ensure physical distancing is maintained. We will keep everyone updated if & when things change There will be no sharing of mittens and gloves so if you have mitts & gloves you will need to bring them with you. We will try & have stock of new mittens available for members to purchase as we cannot use the club supplied equipment. Initially all focus pad work and sparring will not be allowed. The Club will follow advice of the Western Australian Health Department and the City of Swan as to when contact sport can resume. All bags, speed balls, floor to ceiling balls, weights and other equipment will be sprayed with sanitiser and wiped down at the end of each session & there will also be sanitiser for each patron to use when arriving. Members are requested to contact Alan on his mobile 0438910090 to register as there will be limited vacancies. All members must bring their own water bottles to training sessions and not share water with others. Please ensure you take your water bottle home with you after training. If you are not feeling well or have cold and flu symptoms stay away from training to minimise the risk of infection to other members. Also, if you knowingly have Covid-19 or have been in contact with someone that has Covid-19 stay away from training and isolate at home. If symptoms worsen please contact your Doctor. Thank you for your consideration. Alan and Kaye O’Donnell

21.01.2022 Hi all the committee wishes to advise that due to the current Covid 19 virus epidemic, the club has made the decision that it is in the best interest of the members and volunteers that the club temporarily close effective immediately. We are hopeful that the closure will be short term though this ultimately will be determined by the severity and duration of the Covid 19 virus epidemic in WA. Please do your part to prevent the spread of the virus.... Please monitor this page for further details. Thanks for your understanding. 07.01.2022 Hi everyone an update from Kev on Jenny.... Hi all... Here is a quick update on Jenny, Jenny’s surgery went really well, her blood pressure was fine and she did not need any blood transfusion. She is already moving around, eating food and doing things by herself without any assistance. We had a call from Jenny today and she said she will be able to come home tomorrow. Once she is home she won't be able to do anything strenuous and will need someone to be with her for 1 month but everyone at home will be looking after her until she is all better. Kindest regard Kev and family

06.01.2022 Hey everyone, I’m going to cancel mitch’s class due to the covid19 situation. This is due to the close proximity and share pads bags etc. I don’t know for exactly how long this will go on, but for now I’ll cancel the 5:30 class for at least the next month. I will update you as the situation progresses. Mitch
