25.01.2022 Motherhood. Ready for anything. And SOOO ready to get off this crazy corona virus train and goof around again, really close to my favourite three dozen adults, in a pub, way after 9pm. Ready to go to a gig and get pushed around, queue for the toilets and wait too long for a drink. Woohoo! So ready to go INTO a restaurant and sit down and eat, show off me manners. Ready to go INTO a lovely shop and have a look around, touch things, smell things - whoa, like the ...good old days. So ready to go into a stinky, loud gym and be yelled at by an instructor to move my stiff, lazy, floppy body. Ready to visit a mate, ready to get a party invite, ready to get dressed to go do something with someone I don’t live with. So ready to go to a hairdresser (omg), ready to ditch our masks and see my friends’ mouths and noses, and SO ready to send my wonderful, not-yelly, perfect children back to school. Melbournians, hope you’re hanging in there. Our dad has grounded us for such a ridiculous amount of time. Those on the outside, hope you’re enjoying every minute and inch of freedom. You lucky bastards. Hopefully we’re not too far behind. Daddy Dan can we go out? Are we there yet?!?!? #stupidcoronavirus See more

25.01.2022 Brand-new, super fresh Christmas cards hot off the printer! I’ve had a lot of fun drawing these during lockdown. 24.01.2022 I haven’t home-schooled my kids for over a month now and I must say, I’m feeling completely refreshed, fabulous and ready for Christmas.

20.01.2022 When this whole corona virus thing blew up, my heart sank imagining I might be selling a lot of sympathy cards. I was so scared a lot of people were going to get really sick, be in hospital, pass away. But to my great relief, the isolation seems to be working, and more than any other type of card, I have been posting thank you cards. Seems we’re all saying thank you for all the sweet little things we’re doing for each other. Fills my heart knowing all these lovely acts of kindness and thank yous are swirling around. Even makes my killer guard dog want to play with bunny rabbits and go smell some flowers. To say thank you for all the thank yous, I’m offering free postage to anyone who includes a thank you card in their order till midnight Sunday. Just use the code ‘WALLYSAYSTHANKS’ at checkout. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

17.01.2022 Go on, tell someone you miss them! But not just in a text that’ll disappear into cyberspace. Tell them on paper, in a card. I promise it’ll far outweigh a phone message. Tell them what you miss the most about them, and what adventures big or small you’d like to go on with them once this is all over. You could even just sign your name and let the drawing on the front tell them how you’re feeling. It’ll mean a lot and they can hold it, see your handwriting and stand the card ...up on a table or stick it to their fridge. And unlike a text or a phone call, in the future their grandkids could find the card in an old box, and learn a little about your relationship. It’s just about making your feelings a physical thing, giving them some real estate in this busy immediate, social media world. It’ll become an actual place that reminds them that someone out there during these crazy period of isolation, loves them and is wishing you could be together. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia See more

15.01.2022 Don't forget to say thanks to all the rad teachers out there! I knew within two days of (attempting) home schooling that teachers should be paid a million dollars a year. I couldn't even teach two kids, how the hell do they teach twenty-five of the little angels/ratbags?And half of it this year over zoom calls? Major respect mr and mrs teacher! You've still got time to order a card. Just jump on to the Wally website, link in bio. Buy two or more cards and I'll upgrade your postage to express on the house. Or even better, visit a gorgeous local stockist and get them in your hands straight away. Get in touch if you want to know your nearest.

14.01.2022 This is how my insides feel since I’ve found out the kids are going back to school. I think the kids are even happier but I couldn’t even try to draw the ecstasy they’ll feel when I’m not their teacher anymore. We’re celebrating tonight with a strong drink (me) and a strong cordial (them.) If you’re a crappy home teacher like me, we’re nearly there! Hold strong, have a tiny party, eleven more sleeps!

14.01.2022 I’m proud of my man boobs. This drawing took a while to get right. I ended up having to google ‘man boobs’ because my first few attempts were ridiculously bad. But eventually I got there, and it’s getting those fun little things right that for me make a drawing worthwhile. This card is still one of my faves to give anyone for their birthday. Seems like a good level of inappropriate and usually the more inappropriate person you give it to, the better the giggle. Today I’m drawing Dolly Parton at my kitchen table - lady boobs this time around. Unfortunately I can’t show you the piece yet but I’m busy googling Dolly’s boobs in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Boobs boobs boobs! My job is fun.

12.01.2022 This is how I felt this morning as my partner went to work and left me with the kids for the 10th day of isolation in a row. He was all perky and fresh and showered, I was about to go from my night pyjamas to my day pajamas, kick a path back to the living room all while listening to three kids whinge that I didn’t get their individual cereal bowl order precisely correct. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids to bits and appreciate Ben going to work for us - but what I’d do for a little balance and a few beers down at the pub, with my favourite three dozen adults. one day soon.

08.01.2022 There’s still time to get your lovely mama or a lovely mama you know a Mother’s Day card! God they deserve it. If I had the time I’d re-draw this card to suit this isolation period - adding a few dozen extra items to cover home schooling, sanitizer pumps, loo roll, pets, zoom work calls and a bottle of emergency vino. Mums all over have been doing it tough and need a little love and appreciation. We have over 20 fun mum cards to choose from and can put them in the post straight away. Just take a look at the wally website, there’s sure to be one to suit the gorgeous mum you want to celebrate.

08.01.2022 Two weeks left till Christmas people! And there’s still time to get some fresh Chrissy cards! This year has been way too huge and important to forget the card or make it a rubbish one. Put some memories in there, the date, lots of feelings, a funny story or a joke. Even have a good old whinge! Make the card a keeper. And if it’s a good one it’ll end up on the fridge or a treasure box that people find in 50 years, read and realise it’s from 2020. The craziest year of the cen...tury, when everyone was put to the test. And this was the Christmas when we could stop wearing masks and finally get our party on. Whoop whoop! So go to a great little shop, get a card, and write some love-filled stuff in it. Or jump on the wally website, buy two or more cards and we’ll upgrade your postage to express on the house. Link in bio. You’ll have your cards in no time! See more

07.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mamas out there from me and my gang! If you sent your mama a card, I hope it touched her or gave her a giggle. So looking forward to making some new ones after this crazy period of ISO. This love bubble/shit storm of a time has given me SOOOO many ideas but no time to draw them. Here’s hoping things keep settling and school can go back soon. My pencils are screaming my name and I miss them like crazy.

06.01.2022 Go on, tell her how cool she is! She doesn’t even need to be your mum. Just a cool one you know. Imagine the skip in her step if you told her she’s doing an ace job. This fun card and over 20 more available on the wally website. Order and I can put it in the post for you straight away.

06.01.2022 Santa needs to let off some steam. We all need to let off some steam! This Chrissy card & a whole load of other new ones to check out on the wally website and ready to post out to you asap Link in bio.

05.01.2022 A lovely stockist in N.Z. recently pointed out how much the take out of this card has changed these past few weeks. I hope you’re all coping ok with the self isolation. It’s taken me a while but I’m slowly embracing my inner hermit. Nothing to put on the calendar, no invites on the fridge, not even a kid’s party. It’s just us during the day (me and my three kidlets) with no plans, nowhere to be and nothing to do except keep to ourselves. It’s slowed everything down and our l...ives are now so small and simple. It’s kinda nice if you let go of all the ideas of what you could be doing and achieving if these rules weren’t in place. Small things that have made me happy these past four days are cooking two new recipes with my kids, writing to my 92 year old nan and including drawings from all of us (I did one too!) We’ve made forts, followed a butterfly around the house, made a cardboard cafe where you have to eat stuff from our fridge blind-folded, sewn on a few buttons and discovered some new music. Kinda small, but kinda big, important stuff at the same time. Hope you’re all doing ok out there, and feeling a little love from the small things. And hope your FOMO has calmed right down, and your inner hermit is feeling spoilt and listened to too. See more

03.01.2022 How good is it starting to see everyone in person again?!?!? Woohoooo! Instead of zooming and seeing their little flat face on a flat little screen, we get to see, hear, even smell our favourite people! It’s so damn satisfying. And it’s going to take a long while for me to take it for granted again.

02.01.2022 A little reminder that it’s Mother’s Day in less than two and a half weeks! I’ve got a whole bunch of fun, sweet and cheeky cards to help you celebrate your amazingly awesome mama, or a special mama you might know and want to pay homage to. And has there ever been a time when they’re more deserving? They could be slugging it out at home with kids doing home schooling. You could be separated and your mum or grandma are doing isolation alone. There could be a mum living on yo...ur street who you think has been doing a great job just getting their little kids out of the house for a walk and some fresh air. There are wonderful women doing wonderful jobs being mothers to kids, adults, pets and plants all around us and it’s time to say thank you. Just head to my website to take a look. I can post your card the day you order so there’ll be plenty of time to send it on to the deserving mama. Ready when you are lovely folk! See more
