Each spacious townhouse meets the accessibility requirements of SEPP Seniors Living & are able to facilitate future modification to accessible living as required. See our previous posts for further detail on this DA approved project!

23.01.2022 DA Submitted! This 12-bed boarding house in Frenchs Forest sits comfortably on this sloped site. With two storeys facing the street; the units along this south faade sit behind a retractable timber screen providing privacy to the street. Transforming into three storeys toward the rear; the building is concealed in a darker brick amongst an array of trees. Within the attic roof; units on the top floor are afforded expansive views across the tree canopies. Special thanks to the great consultant team: Dusk Media Sydney, Plot Design Group, Ascent Geotechnical Consulting, Transport and Traffic Planning Associates - TTPA, BBF Planners, Hugh the Arborist, Sellick Consultants, BSA & Martins.

This solution both maintains neighbouring privacy whilst allowing northern light to each room in the proposed boarding house in Collaroy. A bonus result to this proposal is each room is afforded views to the nearby beach

Despite being slightly over-engineered, all members of the Walsh Architects team got on the tools to get the job done! . . . A simple voluminous extension is proposed to the rear of the existing semi-detached terrace, providing an additional bedroom, a large bathroom, and a new open plan living and dining area for the family to enjoy. Access to light was paramount in the proposal for this south-facing terrace; and as such both high-level and feature glazing are proposed to capture northern and eastern light. #extension #light
