24.01.2022 DAY 104 & 105 - 11 & 12 June 2020 So the plasterers just didnt bother to show up on Thursday, but came on Friday and completed the top floor. The chippies made the bulkhead for the cupboards in the nook, and of course i realised straight away, that i should of changed up the size of the cupboards, so the poor buggers had to do it again and increase the height. They also started the landing for the entry. Everything just keeps getting delayed, and we are both well over it all. Some subbies are just crappy to deal with, whilst others are pure diamonds in the rough. 6 months in we should be well past this stage by now...but at least its starting to look like a house again.

23.01.2022 DAY 106 - 15 June 2020 The middle floor was sheeted today, makes such a difference - feels like we're actually getting somewhere! Kale and the boys pulled down the front porch roof and the tiles were all delivered.

22.01.2022 DAY 111-115 - 22 to 26 June 2020 So lots happened this week. Tiling inside almost complete. Waterproofing completed. Floor levelling almost complete. External painting and rendering almost complete. Installation of 4 of the external AC units complete. Installation of the kitchen was going really well until I twisted my ankle and everything came to a screaming halt (sorry Kale)!

21.01.2022 DAY 107 to 10 - 16-19 June 2020 So a lot more happened this week, but hard to show in photos. All the plastering and setting was finished, with the sanding to take place on Monday next week. Ivan our renderer was here and did more rendering, then colouring, with a final texture coat to go on next week. The boys (Kale & Co) built the front entry porch roof, and put in a temporary floor for the front entry deck. The front door arrived and was installed, but the frame needs a bit of sorting out. Waterproofers here as well. I also started building the Kitchen cabinets - 3 boxes down only 197 to go, hahah!

20.01.2022 DAY 101 - 5 June 2020 Half the scaffold came down today, and the plaster sheets delivered. Louvre blades installed by yours truly and Kale. The guest bedroom ensuite and dividing wall all completed. Kale installed a temporary guard rail on the top deck. The view has changed completely with the scaff gone. The finish line on these two floors is starting to get close now :) (thank god)!

12.01.2022 DAY133 - 20 July 2020 Benchtops in today, and the painting on two walls now complete as well as the ceiling. More tiling took place and further painting prep.

11.01.2022 DAY 116 - 29 June 2020 Been a while since i posted an over the pool shot, so thought i'd do so. Kale opened us up to the top levels today, so it finally feels like we are getting somewhere.

08.01.2022 So this happened yesterday :) puppies are loving it

04.01.2022 DAY 102 & 103 - 9 & 10 June 2020 So the plasterers finally started doing the ceiling today. There's been lots going on, but not much to photograph. Kale and crew did some concreting today, but i didnt get a shot of it - those boys do it all - not bad for carpenters, lol. They're amazing! They chipped off the slate from the entry landing to make ready for it to be widened as well. The weather has put a real dent in the rendering, but Ivan has done the first coat in some places. Lets hope this rain lets up soon.

03.01.2022 A busy weekend putting together the kitchen and were only half way there....

02.01.2022 DAY 117-123 30 June to 8 July 2020 Been a while since I have posted, its hard to get photos of sanding etc, of walls and grouting of tiles. Kale has installed the frames for our Guest Bedroom cupboards today. What an amazing job. Front door, and internal doors all installed. The stairs have been installed, tiling mostly finished, and even the hot water has been installed. Finally feeling like there may be an end in sight !

01.01.2022 Been a while since an update. Thought I would stop now until the first two floors are finished and furniture in. I couldn't resist this though :) Finally the lights are on!
