03.01.2022 You've probably heard us tell you before: Never ride your horse on an empty stomach! Riding your horse on an empty stomach will put him at risk of stomach ulce...rs. Stomach ulcers hurt! So in an attempt to avoid the pain your horse may misbehave to stop you riding him. Or he may grudgingly work for you, but will be sour and unhappy. Neither is fun for both of you. But there is an easy solution! Keep your horse’s stomach full. Here's a guide to how much hay you should feed your horse before work. Want to learn more? 03.01.2022 Love the horse before the sport

03.01.2022 We’re more of a Dressage crew at WP - the size of the jump and the collected canter into it may give us away! Gotta love a sunset ride

02.01.2022 Being kind and appreciative of the daily work is something we all crave. In case anyone hasn’t noticed, horses don’t exactly thank us. In fact, most times they... are making full eye contact while urinating in the stall we just cleaned. Paying a compliment to the person shoveling your horse’s poop will likely gain your horse an extra chin scratch. If you occasionally bring wine we might even find that lost shoe for you. Ali Ingellis has this and eight other funny - but also useful - tips to avoid becoming a PIA boarder.

02.01.2022 Such a relief! We were worried the arena had lost its way... enormous thanks to Garry from Rake It Up - Horse Arena Refurbishment & Maintenance for making it functional and beautiful again!

02.01.2022 Merry Christmas all

01.01.2022 Last night’s delight

01.01.2022 Humble beginnings Welcome to Waltman Park - a hybrid of dreams and hard work that is developing and improving every day. At WP we provide full-care agistment for your beloved equine. While our facilities are basic at this stage we are working on improvements every week- this is just the beginning, and our care level is second to none. Tied in with a fantastic, hard to beat location (Located six minutes to Coolum and eight minutes to Yandina) - we urge you to consider our p...roperty for your horse’s home. We believe in large paddocks and ours are full of grass with plenty of space for your horse to run free (one or two horses per paddock). We have a full size 60 x 20m sand dressage arena for training, and a small trail between the paddocks for a relaxing cool down. Storage for feed and tack is of course included, and we will do our best to accommodate any further needs. Also available for use is a horse-rug designated washing machine and small fridges for storing of any medicines or supplements. Feed delivery is available from Yandina Feed Barn & Glenrock Hay on a regular basis, and our local vet Stuart Bryce is just around the corner. We have a recently completed beautiful new wash bay that is in shade most of the day - perfect for this heat! As well as new rubber flooring to the four stables - we currently have one spare! Improvements due to be completed in the next six weeks include; - shelters to each paddock - new tack room - new rainwater tank (we already have a few but you can never have too much water!) - easily accessible sawdust pit & separate muck pit - arena fencing. Longer term improvements on the list to be completed include; - round yard - flat area for jumping - longer cool-down trail - arena sprinklers. Above all, we can guarantee you peace of mind that your equine partner will be well looked after - as near or far away as you may be.
