18.01.2022 The Waltzing Matilda Centre is celebrating NAIDOC week and acknowledging the incredible career of the late Australian Aboriginal singer and Yorta Yorta man, James Oswald Little AO better known as 'Jimmy Little' or 'Uncle Jimmy' (1937-2012). Jimmy Little recorded the song 'Waltzing Matilda' on several albums in his six decade career and the LP pictured below was released in 1972 and can be seen in our Main Museum.

09.01.2022 The Outback Regional Gallery is incredibly grateful for the donation of 10 limited edition etchings from Elisabeth Cummings (b.1934) one of Australia's most respected living artists whose work depicts outback landscapes and the Australian bush. The artworks will be on display in 2021. Here is a sneak peak of one work 'My Dog at Home in the Bush', Elisabeth Cummings, 2014 (1/25), donated through The Australian Government's Cultural Gift Program.
