03.01.2022 Hailing from the banks of the Murray River in Echuca, meet Jarrod Hudson, our multiskilled labourer. "I spent six years in Darwin as a plumber before joining Wamarra. I heard about the business from my brother Ryan, who's a general labourer and machine operator for Wamarra. I started as a roof plumber working on site compounds for rail projects. Since then I've up-skilled on the job, jumping in with the boys learning chippy work, also rolling up the sleeves to learn concret...ing which I've never done before." says Jarrod. We’re incredibly proud of our people, embracing their diverse skill sets and motivations to grow within our business. "The foundation of Wamarra is looking after its people, whether it’s growth opportunities at work or seeing how things are going in our personal lives. 01.01.2022 For over 60,000 years our people have been the custodians of the land. We’re united by a common language. The theme for this year’s NAIDOC week, Always was, always will be acknowledges the longest living culture in the world. It highlights the reliance and strength we as a community have and our ability to move forward as one. At Wamarra, we’re proud to be part of NAIDOC week, running from 8 15 November. After a tough year battling the pandemic, it’s an opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect.
