13.01.2022 Babies & children will be facing highway traffic if a new child care centre is approved. Other states and Councils ban child care centres from being in close proximity to a major intersection. Council’s own guidelines are clear that a child care centre should not be located opposite an intersection. QUOTE: "The site should not be located... opposite an intersection or on any other road where additional vehicles may create traffic conflict..." There is only one point of entry ...despite it being mandatory to have seperate entry and exit points. Only metres from the beach and near homes valued in excess of $7 million, the units will be in an expensive, high demand holiday location. The Council report is over the top in its bias towards approval and lacks objectivity and credibility.... The report claims that the roundabout at the Central Coast Highway is not an intersection!!! The Terrigal women who provided a surf lifesaving rescue service from 1942 -1945 as men went off to the Second World War are to receive their bronze medallions after a wait of 75 years. 03.01.2022 Child safety wins Last night, an overwhelming number of Councillors voted to reject a proposed 80 place childcare centre on the roundabout of the Central Coast Highway and Old Gosford Road. There were many, many compliance problems with the proposal but the main ones were that childcare centres must not be located opposite an intersection and must have safe access. The following Councillors voted in good conscience to support child safety: - Councillors Jilly Pilon, Jeff Sundstrom, Bruce McLachlan, Kyle MacGregor, Louise Greenaway, Doug Vincent, JillianHogan, Richard Mehrtens and Mayor Jane Smith. Well done to the Councillors and thank you for the massive support from the community.

03.01.2022 Thanks to the hard work of local resident Lindy Hewett, Adam Crouch MP, Willoughby Road is being upgraded including the dip, where 17 year old Lisarow High student Jackson Williams was killed in July last year when the car he was travelling in slammed into a power pole.

Notification Letter Previous Objectors DA51671 H612 The Entrance Road WAMBERAL Part 1 The notice states that the new plans will be available from Thursday, 8 March 2018 and that submissions can be made on the proposal from Thursday, 22 February 2018 until close of business on Thursday, 8 March 2018. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The new Councillors have asked you to let Council know your safety concerns about a proposed child care centre on the roundabout of the Central Cast Highway and Old Gosford Road. So tell Council what you think about 80 babies and young children playing in front of a four-lane roundabout on a state highway carrying over 20,000 cars and trucks each day with access from one driveway with no turnaround bay.
