18.01.2022 Wamberal was host for Surf Life Saving Central Coast Round 1 of the Newcastle Permanent Ironperson Series on Saturday. It was a fantastic day for our Newcastle Permanent competitors. Wamberal had 13 competitors of 200 entries. Well done in the endurance format. ... We are so proud of each of your efforts! U10 boys - 1st Billy U10 girls - 5th Hope, 8th Molly U11 boys - 2nd Kaiden, 15th Seamus U11 girls - 16th Marley U13 boys - 1st Eden, 3rd Tahj U13 girls - 1st Tilly, 5th Lily, 11th Maia, 16th Ella U15 boys - 4th Ollie THANK YOU ALL! Thanks to our volunteer work crew and officials who were on the beach for up to 8 hours straight making this event possible. Thanks to all the water safety and IRB crews and first aid. 17.01.2022 Big thank you to everyone over the weekend. Wamberal SLSC hosted the Newcastle Permanent Ironperson. We had our boat crews compete at Umina with some fantastic results. The Wamberal Whales were back again for the summer.... We also hosted a brunch for the Wamberal Dune Care group in recognition of the fantastic work they continue to do on the beach and dunes. And Browny was back with his gravy sausage sandwiches for Nippers Club Champs. And we had 4 dedicated patrols keeping everyone safe. Again, thanks to everyone who helped out throughout the weekend.
