24.01.2022 Welcome back to Truhan from having a holiday with his Nana and Poppa.

22.01.2022 Ms Shelly-Mae is just so awesome, what a star she is.

22.01.2022 Congratulations Shelly-Mae for winning the prize for the term. She has been a great helper while being at Wanarn. You are awesome.

21.01.2022 Our excursions were to visit different water holes and to investigate what could be using them. We looked for tracks, recorded what animals we saw on the way and learnt about some of the historical facts about them. We also collected water from them to take back to class to examine what was living in the water. It was very interesting learning about the different water bugs that we found in each of the samples. We also found it interesting to find so many dead animals around the big water holes, we all wondered why the animals had died. We were excited to find some birds that we did not expect to find, some amazing nests and have the dingo come up close for us to get photos. We all had a brilliant day.

20.01.2022 Thank you to these beautiful ladies for helping with the Junior Class at Dust Up in Warburton, you were all awesome.

16.01.2022 Today we had Open day at school, we used this time to say farewell to Ms Gerri, we will miss her. She has kept the school gardens going and has worked very hard at the school as the principal. We all want to say "Thank You." Mr Tony said "Good Bye." Ms Valda and Ms Norria shared that the cockatoo resembles the story from Wanarn about the Crow and the Cockatoo. The children all made a flower with their photos on them, they put it with a flower they chose from the shop to mak...e up a bunch of flowers for Ms Gerri as their thank you gift. We also gave her a mug with birds on it to remember all our research this year. We all wish you all the best and we look forward to seeing you around the lands. From the Wanarn staff and students. See more

15.01.2022 We collected various water samples and investigated what was living in them. We found blood worms, little beetles, water mites and some creatures we couldn't name. The creatures look amazing under the microscope.

15.01.2022 Cooking Tuna Mornay for lunch.

14.01.2022 Some of the fun activities that everyone enjoyed for Dust Up activities.

12.01.2022 Recently I had the privilege to drive the bus to Blackstone to help their school with an excursion. Well it is a day that we will all remember. There were 4 flat tyres, the Jack blew up, one car lost a mirror and the bus had to have a sleep over in the bush. Even though this happened they all enjoyed their journey and the elders had a beautiful time Yarning. I would like to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of this adventure. Ms Susie.

11.01.2022 Our Junior class joined Ms Samantha and Ms Amanda from Warburton for an excursion to the Warburton Creek Line. We were investigating what birds we could find to compare them to the other areas that we had visited. It was very interesting, we could only find a few birds and a few different sounds of the birds. We thought we would find a lot more. Thank you to Ms Samantha, Ms Amanda and their classes for joining us.

10.01.2022 One of our focuses for this term has been learning about the birds in our communities. At first we didn't think we had many but with careful investigation we found that there are a lot of birds. We learnt about the names of the features of the birds and how to say them in Language and English. Ms Valda was a great teacher.

08.01.2022 The students are still enjoying the smaller creatures of our community. They love to find these little treasures so that we can take photos of them and look much closer at their detailed features.

05.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Ms Marissa. We enjoyed celebrating this special day with you.

05.01.2022 Wow Hamish, you have collected a lot of bottles today. You are doing a great job of spotting the bottles. It will be interesting to see how much money your bag bottles could be.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to the wonderful high school students who have completed their Keys 4 Life with Ms Mandy and Ms Tanya this term!

03.01.2022 Shelly Mae's amazing story about the cats getting the baby birds. She has some amazing tales to tell.
