25.01.2022 Do you ever lie awake at night wondering how we're going to get out of this mess? Do you feel paralysed after reading the news because there is so much to do? D...o you go to work each day to pay the bills and carry guilt that you're not doing enough? Do you feel exhausted because you're trying to do it all, and there's no space left for self care? No single person is going to turn around climate change or bring about social justice. That burden doesn't rest on your shoulders alone. Instead, it is shared by a global movement of inspired and active people, projects and communities. Together we save forests, lobby for climate policy, strengthen local food networks and support the next generation. So figure out what makes you come alive, and put that good energy towards the cause. You do your bit while I do mine, and together we can achieve more than either of us could alone. Creating drawings like this one is what makes me come alive. If you'd like to support my work, check out my Patreon account https://www.patreon.com/brennaquinlan. Those who sign up in the next few days will be sent a limited edition 'resistance is fertile' sticker because, well, stickers! #climateaction #doyourbit #communityovercompetition

25.01.2022 Updates! Still a few balls of the lovely crochet cotton that was donated recently, plus some fresh toys, books for big and little people, and a restock of pantry goods, snacks, even some catfood if anyone's furry friend wants a free meal. The snacks are all single-serve packs for food safety reasons. Please put the packets in a bin so they don't end up in a dolphin!

20.01.2022 Got any plus-size dresses ready for a new home? I'm sending a package over for this project at the end of the week (say Fri 20/11). If you've got anything suitable please leave it in the box, or if it won't fit pop it under the stairs near the bins. Generally when clothing donations come in I pass them on to somewhere like Lifeline coz they're better able to store and distribute them. But since I'm sending a package anyway and can fit a bit more to make it up to 5kg, happy to take contributions for this one. Thank you!!

03.01.2022 Want to build your own street library? A cute design based on upcycled bits and pieces including a chair frame as the base:

02.01.2022 Hey library lovers! Sorry I've been quiet lately, the day job has been absolutely doing me in. What would you like to see the library stock or do differently? Kids books, toys (does the kids' stuff need its own box?), fiction vs nonfiction, genres, useful stuff like cookbooks or gardening books, pantry-type food, lunchbox-type food, hygeine supplies, useful resources/info on local services/business cards for local businesses.... I'd do a poll if FB would let me, but it w...on't so I'll just ask for answers in the comments, or message the page if you'd rather it not be publically visible. :) Pic not entirely relevant, but related to the street library ethos I think. And yes, I'm going to fix the broken handle asap! So sorry, I always remember when I've got to be somewhere in 10 mins. :)
