Her new buddy, Reef, is still in his blue splint which may come off this week. Thanks goes to Anna and the crew at Jervis Bay vet clinic for mending Coral.

13.01.2022 Its time to introduce Pebbles, from the Batemans Bay area, who has actually been with us for 6 1/2 weeks. She has had to battle hard to to get to this point. Now doing nicely, gaining weight and starting to integrate into our mob of little ones. Keep it up Pebbles!

11.01.2022 Adult Volunteers Wanted (children not permitted) Four weekend volunteer positions have become available at the centre. You get to hang out with a great team of carers as well as the joeys. If you love to care for animals and have a passion to help rehabilitated macropod joeys we need you.... You must be willing to attend a 2hr orientation and if you like that commit to a regular 4hr shift either Sat or Sun Shifts 8.00am to 12.00 or 1.00pm to 5.00 Tasks include; Laundering pouches and towels, Washing up bottles teats and dishes, Preparing milk formulas, Raking poo from yards, Sweeping and gernying poo from sheds, Replenishing hay nets and water troughs and pellet dishes, Feeding joeys of various sizes including joeys in pouches. We have around 50 wallaby and eastern grey kangaroo joeys in care at any one time. They are at the centre because they are orphaned, injured or both. The centre is part of Wildlife Rescue South Coast (WRSC) and exists to rehabilitate and prepare joeys for return to the wild. We are not a petting zoo. 05.01.2022 Volunteer Orientation An opportunity to learn if regular volunteering is for you. The Sanctuary is looking for 6 reliable adults to devote between 4 to 6 hrs on a weekly basis. Tasks include; sweeping, raking and gurnying enclosures, cleaning and setting up portable cots, laundering towels and pouches, ... preparing milk formula, washing and sterilising bottles and teats, replenishing hay nets, pellet bowls and water troughs, as well as bottle feeding and cuddling joeys of various sizes.
