22.01.2022 We have had a cancellation for the Bush Spa and Hot Tub Cottage for the October long weekend. Perfect for couples looking for a getaway. This is the only accommodation we have available for the long weekend. Call to book

13.01.2022 We are open for bookings from 1 June. Restrictions have been lifted to allow travel for holidays. We are excited!

12.01.2022 Elite Energy Port Stephens Triathlon was held at One Mile Beach today. It is usually held in May but was rescheduled due to Covid. It is always great to see such a good event held so close to Wanderers Retreat. The run leg goes past at the end of our driveway and the transition is a short walk away. Congratulations to the organisers for another successful Covid safe event.

11.01.2022 If you have booked accommodation with us post 1 June, more good news for you. Moonshadow - TQC Cruises have started taking bookings for whale and dolphin watching. Limited numbers on board, so social distancing is applied. Best to book your cruise early. Support another local business while enjoying your mini break.

11.01.2022 If you are looking to do something different over the school holidays, Moonshadow TQC Cruises have a new cruise on offer in September and October. Keep an eye on their Facebook pages for updates.

08.01.2022 An Eco Cottage with Hot Tub is now available for the weekend 23-25 October due to a cancellation. These cottages are very popular with the next available weekend is the 4 December. Make a booking via our webpage or call us on 02 4982 1702 during business hours.

06.01.2022 It was great to see Wanderers full again on the long weekend after travel restrictions were lifted. The sun was shining until the storms on Sunday night. We are also fully booked for the next weekend. If you are thinking of booking, give us a call. The hot tubs are proving popular and the school holidays have quite a few bookings already. Best to get in early.

04.01.2022 How good does One Mile Beach look today. It’s our local beach, within walking distance of Wanderers Retreat. We are looking forward to greeting guests again for non essential travel.

To ensure you are not disappointed, it is recommended you book your restaurant reservations and activities ahead of time. Time to start planning. You have a myriad of choices including cruises, sand boarding, 4wd tours, quad bikes and many more.

03.01.2022 We had a special guest checking into Cottage 8 this morning. He was looking forward to seeing the hot tub and fireplace. Unfortunately he didn’t order a breakfast hamper, so had to hunt for his own food.

02.01.2022 We have been receiving enquiries for vacancies for this long weekend and the rest of the school holidays. We are fully booked. It is great for us, but not so good for those that have left it last minute to try and get away. If you are staying with us over the long weekend and would like to dine out or experience some of the many attractions/activities in the area, I would suggest you book in early. For those that missed out staying with us for these school holidays, maybe time you start planning your Christmas holidays. We still have some vacancies available. Christmas Day at the beach would be the perfect end to the different year we have all experienced.
