24.01.2022 Knickers arrived a few weeks ago with her bonded brother Sox. They were rescued from a butcher as calves and raised in a loving home. The trust they have because of that love is amazing. Knickers approached me where I was sitting and lowered herself down and snuggled in for a nap. Happy tears...such a beautiful moment.

24.01.2022 Shearing Day at Wanderosa.....

24.01.2022 Today we welcomed two beautiful cows to the Wanderosa family. Knickers (Angus) and Sox (Jersey). Lovingly hand raised, these friendly, playful and brave calves have already added so much joy to our happy little sanctuary. Thank you Ian and TJ and thank you Lochie for connecting us all together.

24.01.2022 There is no such thing as a dumb animal in my book.

24.01.2022 If anyone has stranded horses in the fires here is a contact. We might also be able to provide emergency housing.

21.01.2022 What better way to celebrate your Summer Do than with a big feed of fresh grass?

20.01.2022 Henry arrived at Wanderosa four years ago with Mary and Arnold. Their family had moved away, leaving them starving in a hot summer paddock. He quickly adjusted to 100 acres free ranging with new friends and regular food. Despite his difficult past, he was an affection gentleman full of personality. He died peacefully, grazing in his favourite part of the farm just as the sun rose for his last time. A passing he deserved with no pain or fear in his loving forever home. We will miss you Henry x

18.01.2022 We love Narrogin Valley Stockfeed and Gas and so do all of the Sanctuary animals. Check them out if you're in Narrogin. It's where we got the big treat ball that the horses and Gunther play with every other day.

17.01.2022 What have you got to Baa about today? Don't let anyone pull the wool over your eyes.

17.01.2022 We can't wait until we have the kennel part of the Sanctuary built. We have been asked a few times to take pregnant Mum's. The York/ Northam council now has a no-kill policy, thanks to A1 Wheatbelt Dog Rescue inc. and liaise with Wiluna Community to take their pregnant Mum's, see them through birth, where they are sterilised and given back. Puppies are then re-homed through their Charity. Such important work. The percentage of Wiluna strays have significantly decreased. We are currently working on creating shelters for the 8 ex-trotters and racehorses on the Sanctuary with plumbed rainwater tanks and fencing. One step at a time...but please share this important message heading towards Christmas and reducing unwanted animals given as gifts. Everyone wants a chance to live.

14.01.2022 We happily welcome Export, Esme and Eli to Wanderosa. Export was raised from a stolen egg, he was surrendered to a caring family who gave him a home. Esme found Export and moved in. Wanting a better life for this family we were asked to take them on. Export and Eli have a genetic malformation of their beaks, making it hard to eat or drink without being on the ground. They are free to roam the 100 acres and leave if they wish. So far they like to be watchbirds at the home paddock gate. Move over dogs, there's a new bird in town.

08.01.2022 We have the most unusual new adoption at the Sanctuary. Can guess what it is? It has green eyes, loves Weet-Bix and has 2 ears and 5 legs.We have the most unusual new adoption at the Sanctuary. Can guess what it is? It has green eyes, loves Weet-Bix and has 2 ears and 5 legs.

08.01.2022 Happy Graduation Georgie! He's a big boy now and sleeps outside with the rest of the flock.

04.01.2022 Happy animals are always lovely to watch.

02.01.2022 All the sanctuary animals turn out to see who is going to come out of the float. Even Gunther came trotting out of his hidy bush to see.
