25.01.2022 Only 2 weeks since we pulled all the stock out of this paddock and the response is amazing after a little more rain. Even the black flats are covered in clover. No stock will go back in here for 12 months. This country is so resilient and unbelievable, the seed bank still there after such a long dry
25.01.2022 Starting the cull on the first of the heifers. Anything with a white face is gone (sorry Chris DobsonRay Dobson)
24.01.2022 Beautiful relaxing Fathers Day spent on the Paroo at Wandilla. Lucky we were not reliant on fish for dinner though

23.01.2022 Bloody hell. Just found out goats like pumpkins. We had the most amazing pumpkin vines, absolutely laden with ripe pumpkins growing in the rubbish dump. I went to get a pumpkin for dinner but there is not even a remnant left - hope they enjoyed them

22.01.2022 So, as of Thursday I am away for a month or so and have spent considerable time today cleaning this dust attracting house. Hubby arrives home - Do you want the good news or the bad? Give me the bad first. Areas of raised dust tomorrow (this usually means - a big freaking dust storm) Just can’t win and definitely not recleaning
22.01.2022 An update on the beautiful Betty - she is going well but apparently needs to be a bit more stronger willed for goats. Im sure she will be great(could always be a pet if she doesnt work). Thank you Scott Wilson from SKW working dogs for the time you are putting into her. Looking forward to having her home
22.01.2022 A storm had all but destroyed the old stables and shed. Push down or try and fix? The later is cheaper than a new shed so reroofing and redesign started yesterday. A lot still to do but coming along nicely. Slowly but surely wins the race

14.01.2022 2 years ago Dave bought me this brush cutter for Xmas to make it easier to cut trees off the fence lines. I refused to use it until today as I visualised myself getting tangled in the fence. I needed a link taken out of the chain on my little chainsaw today so instead Dave decided to show me how to use the present. I hate to admit it but he was right again and it makes life so much easier
