25.01.2022 up up and away... Excitement and anticipation was looming as the children created rocket ships combined with vinegar and bicarb to launch their rockets high into the air. Science Education activities provide children with opportunities to develop and practice many different skills and attributes. These include communication skills, collaborative skills, team work and perseverance, as well as analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.

20.01.2022 Just Dance It's been all about dancing this week, the children have been showing of their best dance moves. Some of our children enjoyed pairing up and twirling and dipping one another. Whilst others preferred group and solo dance. Dancing is very good for children's physical development.... Children combine fine and gross motor movement and balance. Dancing also helps improve social and communication skills, children learn how to work as part of a team, develop a sense of trust and cooperation and make new friends.

19.01.2022 The children had a fantastic day celebrating NAIDOC. They enjoyed watching and participating in the traditional dances, aswell as painting Boomerangs, Crafts, various activities, Ball games and a BBQ lunch.

17.01.2022 Friday afternoon Fun Mud play The children enjoyed the afternoon splishing, splashing and engaging in sensory play.... Mud play allows them to express their creativity while enhancing their fine motor skills. Children practice social skills such as cooperation, negotiation, communication and sharing. Lots of fun and laughter was had by all.

07.01.2022 Today the children have been learning and discussing Feelings and Emotions with stories, puppets, dramatic play and painting portraits of different emotions. Naming feelings is the first step in helping children learn how to identify them. It allows children to develop an emotional vocabulary so they can talk about their feelings. Children who learn how to understand emotions in themselves and others are better able to regulate their own responses to strong emotions.

02.01.2022 Its a rickety rocket ship kind of day. The children have been enjoying box craft games and activities, with lots of imaginitive play surrounding aliens and rocket ships. Today we decided to make our very own rocket ship. Some of our friends spent the morning constructing and decorating their very own out of this world rocket. Playing with cardboard boxes can enhance skills such as creativity, imagination and resourcefulness. Box play inspires creativity and imagination as children build upon, transform and reinvent them.
