Also, i may dress to distract. ... 2. Ice cold drinks this year. I need to podium 3. I've finished 2nd last two years running including to someone with a broken foot 4. Run, chug rinse repeat. Don't die. 5. I'm young... I can chug... and I can run... 6. Absolutely no strategies! Can drink 4 alcoholic beverages typically over a 4 hour period! 7. Strategy...do cider mile not beer! 8. I can't skull beer and I'm also a rubbish/injured runner. Hope there is a generous cutoff. :D

15.01.2022 We're all go. entries open tomorrow, Friday 18 December. I just have to change the entry form. Take note: 1. BYO Event beers / drinks / snacks. 2. Presentations at Westside Tavern (pub over the road). 3. COVID rules will be in place. Full details will be on website. 4. Event date, 27 December 2020, at Appin Street Aths Track (new venue, grass 400m, 8 lanes track)... Entry fee of $35 will include the event and set-up itself, bottle opener medal and coupon for a standard drink of your choice at the pub. NO FOOD is available at the pub due to COVID rules. Entrants and guests may choose to congregate somewhere after presentations for a meal, and / or grab fish and chips from next door to the pub and eat at the park. www.beermile.com.au

11.01.2022 We're sitting at 34 entries in total, very heavily weighted towards the mens beer mile. And with hot weather predicted we'll have two start times for Saturday as follows, holding onto the later pair of the three original slots: 5:30pm - Womens Beer Mile, Relays, Anything goes, and Cider Mile, 6:00pm - Mens Beer Mile.... Those drinking conforming beers need to arrive no later than 20 minutes pre-start to ensure labelling and scrutineering can take place. Beer Mile Male - Nick Creek, Beer Mile Female - no winner (but one disgraced entrant who left more than 4 ounces :D ) Cider Mile Male - Chris Ledger Cider Mile Female - KC Ledger.... Big thanks to Melissa Jacka, Jackie and Bonnie Creek for volunteering. Kudos to Mason Bodor who turned 18 just 18 days ago and Falky for running injured. Big fun had by all, video and final results including chug splits hopefully tomorrow. Tuesday at latest!

02.01.2022 Makes you thirsty, right? 2020 Wangaratta Beer Mile in Charlie Blanch's home town will take place again this year on December 27th! Can Charlie take the win or will Nick Finch come back again and take a hat-trick of wins? Only one way to find out, and that's to enter and be there. Entries will open about October. ;-)
