12.01.2022 2020 was a tough year for all. As a footy club we were so lucky to be supported by some amazing locals and local sponsors. We have been able to upgrade some facilities and get through 2020 due to this local support and the sponsors, who we have no doubt, also did it tough. Last year we started to highlight some of these guys and we are about to start doing that again. 11.01.2022 Tonight the WFNC held its 2020 AGM. We would like to announce not one, but TWO major firsts for our Club! Firstly - a dual presidency! Congratulations to Ellyn O’Brien & Col McClounan on your appointments as Co Presidents. We look forward to seeing the next 12 months unfold with you both at the helm. Secondly - we would like to acknowledge that for the first time in our Clubs history (and actually, O&M history!) we have a female president!... Extra congratulations to you Ellyn! We also welcome to the Board - Andy McKinley & Alicia Tua who will join Tony Smart, Ken Farrell, Rob Doolan, Russell Canning, Dan Roach, Graeme Martin & Maria Saunders who are retaining their positions. The WFNC sadly says goodbye to our President of 3 years, Tony Goodison. Tony has lead an exceptional board and has heavily contributed to the great position our Club finds our selves in for 2020. We congratulate all the girls - athletes who have attended & supported the Wangaratta Magpies for their efforts. We would like to thank everyone involved who have volunteered their time & supported our netball club, from the coaching staff, senior players, the athletes & families, and the parents who have volunteered as covid safety officers... & umpires as without you all none of this would be possible! It's been wonderful to see our young up & coming netballers back on the courts & seeing our community reconnecting after a tough year due to Covid-19. 02.01.2022 Our Netball Skills Sessions have been a huge hit with our final session being held next Tuesday night! We have had an overwhelming response to our skills sessions which has been wonderful, reaching capacity in numbers due to Covid19 restrictions - registrations are now closed. We would like to thank all of our coaches, senior players, & parent volunteers for helping assist make these skill sessions possible - its been wonderful seeing our keen young netballers back on... the court having fun!!
