However, until further notice we will continue to host practice sessions on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. 22.01.2022 Reopening for Practice Wangaratta Clay Target Club will be resuming practice from Saturday the 6th of June. From that date, we will continue to open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The opening hours will be from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, allowing a maximum of 20 shooters on the premises at any given time. Only shooters will be allowed on the club premises, so we ask spectators to stay at home. We also ask that shooters visit to shoot, then leave promptly once they have completed their p...ractice rounds to allow space for more shooters and ensure the safety of everyone. All government enforced COVID-19 protocols will be followed at the grounds and anyone that chooses to disregard these rules will be asked to leave the premises. A COVID-19 questionnaire will be presented to visitors upon arrival, outlining the club’s expectations, which must be signed before entering the grounds. We believe that everyone will understand that the club is doing what is necessary to get back to shooting clays. Thank you for your cooperation.

22.01.2022 ** Masks ** This question raised it’s head immediately after the VCTA posting on Facebook that competition could begin again in Regional Victoria. The rule is: ... YOU MUST WEAR A MASK unless you have a medical exemption! The VCTA has contacted DHHS and Sport & Rec Victoria immediately after the question was raised. The response received was Exercise Do I have to wear a face covering while exercising? If you are doing exercise or physical activity where you are out of breath or puffing, such as jogging or running, you do not need to wear a face covering. You do have to carry a face covering with you so you can wear it before or after exercising, unless you have a lawful exception. You must wear a face covering when walking for exercise even if the 1.5 metre physical distancing is maintained unless you have a lawful excuse such as a medical condition, where it would be dangerous to have obstructed breathing while walking around. In short, your interpretation is correct you must wear a mask. There are exemptions from DHHS for professional sports people when training or competing, but this is not community level. In the last couple of days there has been a number of stories where shooters are refusing to wear masks. This is to the detriment of our sport and has huge ramifications if people won’t do the right thing. Please ensure that your club, and club members, are following the guidelines as required as it is essential for our sport to continue in the current regulations.

22.01.2022 **IMPORTANT NOTICE** Please note anyone wishing to shoot practice at Wangaratta CTC is required to wear a face mask. There is no ACTA or other exemption. The club has had 2 members refuse the direction of the Range officer to wear a mask while shooting claiming a ACTA exemption. I have received confirmation shooters must wear a mask. This was received directly from the VCTA and is the guidelines used by Sport and Rec Vic. Non compliance regarding this issue will not be tolerated at WCTC.
