17.01.2022 To my dear customers Just expressing my thoughts and situation here. So, in the last week and a half I've isolated myself because I've been unwell, sore throat, aches all over, was in bed for 3 days, it felt like the flu but I had no fever. Couldn't get tested because I wasn't in contact with someone I know that has it. 1 week later my sore throat flared up again but I'm starting to feel better now. It's been 12 days. So the government says I must keep my business open becau...se haircuts are an essential need. I can understand that people want to feel good about themselves but the reality of it is us hairdressers and barbers have our hands all over your faces. We are so close we are also breathing on each other. I'm not sure how I got sick but through barbering and gigs I've been in close contact with many, many people some of whom had probably come back from holidays on cruise ships etc. A majority of my clients are elderly some with serious heart/lung conditions amongst other things and to be honest at the end of all this I hope to see you all again. For now it's my duty of care to look after my clients by not spreading a flippin' deadly disease and to look after myself too so I've decided to keep the doors closed. Don't worry about your hair folks, Just stay home and keep your distance. I now know a hand full of people with Covid 19 and it spreading like wildfire as you know, so stay home and take care.
