We have just been able to log in and extend the order cut off time to 10am for today. We hope this helps otherwise please resort to ordering the old fashioned way of sending cash in with your child.

22.01.2022 Canteen is open today Thank you to everyone who has ordered their children’s lunches from the canteen this term. Due to COVID canteen sales have been our only consistent way of continuing to raise funds to purchase new playground equipment for our school. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to our small army of amazing canteen volunteers who have given their time to prepare over 1200 lunch orders this term for our hungry kids. The canteen simply wouldn’t exist without them. ... It’s also not too late to volunteer in the canteen in Term 4. We have a few dates on our roster that we require help for so please comment below, send us a message or contact Lydia Swift or Kelly Casey if you’d like to help. This term has seen more than 1000 lunch orders placed online which we really appreciate and encourage all WWPS families that aren’t already using the My School Connect app or website to do so from next term, as it makes preparing lunches soooo much more streamlined for our wonderful volunteers. 21.01.2022 We are hosting the raffle at Wangi Workers Club tonight, selling tickets from 5:45pm. The club starts their raffle at 6. We will have 2 x F&V Trays from IGA and 4 x Meat trays supplied by Milligans Country Meats. All proceeds go directly to the P&C which we will put towards our playground fundraising. Kyle is a former WWPS student who started his butchering here in Wangi. He recently returned home with his family to start his business delivering fresh quality meat straight to your door. 20.01.2022 Such an important reminder on a hot day!

20.01.2022 Today is the last day of canteen for 2020!!! We have very limited stock of party pies, large pies, sausage rolls, lasagnes and garlic breads. We have updated stock levels in My School Connect so please place lunch orders online as soon as possible this morning. Online ordering cut off is 9:15am... Thank you once again for your support this year through buying your children’s lunches and/or volunteering in the canteen. We will re-open on Wednesday 3rd February 2021.

17.01.2022 Canteen Volunteers Would you like to volunteer in our school canteen this term? Volunteering involves preparing lunch orders, selling snacks to students at lunch time, meeting and getting to know students and other volunteering parents, grandparents and community members. It requires no experience and is lots of fun! Our canteen is open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Volunteers usually start at about 9am and finish by 12:30pm however if you need to start late and/or finish early ...it is not a problem. We are currently organising the canteen roster for this term and we have some spare spots that we welcome new volunteers to fill. 16.01.2022 SWIMMING CARNIVAL We are looking forward to our Swimming Carnival tomorrow. Here are a few reminders: - Please pack a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, a towel an...d swim gear (goggles, cap, etc). - Students need to bring morning tea and/or snacks with them to eat at the pool. They can bring lunch from home or buy lunch from the canteen. Hot food, snacks and drinks can be purchased. Hot food orders will be taken early in the day. The canteen will be open after 11.30am. - Students can wear house colours or their sports uniform. Swimming costumes can be worn to school under clothing. Students can change out of their swimming costumes at the conclusion of the carnival if they wish. ENCLOSED SHOES MUST BE WORN TO SCHOOL. Students may wear thongs at the pool if they wish. Thank you. 13.01.2022 Our school canteen re-opens tomorrow and our wonderful volunteers can’t wait to see the smiling faces of WWPS students at lunch time. Please remember....... All lunch orders must be placed online through My School Connect app or website... Order before 9:25am on canteen days - we encourage orders to be placed the night before or days and weeks earlier CASH lunch orders will no longer be accepted however cash can be used to purchase snacks at lunch time ONLY. An updated Term 1 2021 Canteen Menu printed on yellow A4 paper was sent home with each student on Monday. If you didn’t receive one please contact your child’s classroom teacher or you can save the menu attached to this Facebook post to your mobile. Please don’t panic if your child’s class name in the My School Connect App is incorrect, missing or displaying GENERIC. Our volunteers will be cross checking class lists with the school tomorrow to make sure all lunches are put in the correct class tubs. We will send a message out in the coming days to ask all parents to update their children’s My School Connect class names once all 2021 classes have been set and confirmed by the school. A HUGE thank you to the 21 volunteers who are helping in the canteen this term. We really appreciate you putting your hand up to help!

13.01.2022 Canteen Ordering Info The canteen is CLOSED TODAY. It will re-open on Wednesday 3rd February. This year ALL LUNCH ORDERS NEED TO BE PLACED ONLINE (no cash/paper bag orders) by 9:25am on Wednesdays and Fridays, however we encourage families to order days or weeks in advance.... Students can buy snacks at lunch time with cash. Please download the My School Connect App or visit https://www.MySchoolConnect.com.au to register and place orders.

12.01.2022 This Friday 11/12 is the last day of canteen for 2020!!! If possible please try to order your children’s lunches online and as soon as possible as we have limited amounts of menu items available due to the need to defrost and clean all freezers and fridges before the school year ends. Our canteen is 100% volunteer run and has been our main form of fundraising in this crazy year. We’d like to say a big thank you to WWPS families for ordering lunches and snacks for your childr...en this year, particularly those who have transitioned to ordering online. Online ordering has certainly made our volunteer’s canteen shifts much much easier. Please also remember that all lunch orders will need to be placed ONLINE ONLY from the beginning of Term 1 2020 however snacks purchased with cash at lunch time only will be accepted. Our canteen wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does without the help and commitment of our wonderful volunteers so a HUGE shout out and thank you to each and every one of our 20+ 2020 volunteers. We honestly couldn’t have done it without them If you would like to volunteer to help in the canteen next year we would love your help. 10.01.2022 Dear parents and carers, As some of you may be aware, the NSW Department of Education has recently announced amendments to NSW Public School covid19 protocols. ...The most significant of these updates is parents and carers of Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students are allowed on school sites (briefly) for drop off and pick up. Incredibly, over $1200 was raised! We are expecting the items to arrive any day and we will send them home early next week.

02.01.2022 Hi everyone! The time has come to organise our canteen roster for Term 4 - we would really love your help!!! A little bit about our canteen............ It’s open between 9 & 12:30 every Wednesday and Friday for lunch preparation and service. Students can also buy extra snacks or collect their pre-ordered snacks after they have eaten their lunch. Please note the canteen isn’t open for the afternoon recess session. Our canteen is a beautiful, big and brand new space. Volunteering in the canteen is super easy (no experience required), lots of fun and is a great way to meet and get to know other volunteers. You can volunteer as little or as often as you like each term. Your kids love seeing their family members volunteering in the canteen Our canteen is fully run by volunteers with all profits from canteen sales going directly to the P&C who purchase equipment and subsidise programs for our beautiful kids. Our big focus is currently on raising funds for new playground equipment. Due to the wonderful support from WWPS families who allow their kids to order their lunches and our newish online ordering app our canteen has become quite busy, therefore we require 3 volunteers every Wednesday and 4 every Friday.
