25.01.2022 We met as a group today for the first time since COVID 19 hit. Social distancing, hand sanitizer, chat, catch up and meeting. All great and so good to meet as a group again

23.01.2022 Both the weather and increased COVID-19 cases in Newcastle have conspired against our planned morning tea, which is now cancelled. Our priority is the safety of our members, and we will keep you informed as events unfold over the coming month with regard to our 14th September scheduled meeting

22.01.2022 We would like to advise that Wangi RSL Club will be re-opening under the new restrictions enforced from June 1st. Our staff have completed Covid-19 Training & we are working closely with ClubsNSW & NSW Health. We are looking forward to healthy and bright futures.

16.01.2022 The 14th of September is the inaugural meeting. Below are details so you know what is going on. Auditorium - tables of 4 with each person 1.5m apart will be set up so that social distancing can be maintained. Guests - the VIEW National Manager and National President will be there and one of them will chair the meeting. We should also have the Family Life Co-Ordinator from Newcastle who will be able to talk about the Learn for Life program. Food - the Chinese restaurant is go...ing to make up 2 x plates per person, 1 with hot food and 1 with sandwiches & a piece of cake. These will be put on a table in the auditorium for us to help ourselves. They do not do any vegan or gluten-free food but there will be vegetarian options so it is important that everyone lets us know if they are vegetarian or not eating at all. If not eating you will not have to pay but we do need to know if you are attending or are an apology. You are welcome to bring your own food. Drinks - tea and coffee can be purchased from the bar - only after the meeting as we do not want to hold up the meeting while they serve the coffees. Water is available from the bar for free. Raffle - There will be a raffle on the day - tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Bank Details - we have been able to open a bank account at Westpac Morisset and for those who have not paid details can be messaged to you Please use your surname as the reference. Payment is required by this Friday, please. If you are unable to pay by EFT please contact either Alison or Lynda and we will make other arrangements for you. I have a list of those who have paid if you need to check. Acknowledgement of Country - we are looking for a volunteer to do this on the day. Please contact me if you can assist with this. Assistant Secretary - we are looking for someone to join our lovely group of ladies on the committee. It is just a back up for if Alison is away. It involves a meeting on a Monday 2 weeks after the general meeting. It's a great way to get to know each other over a cup of tea. Please ring/email me if you need any further information.
