16.01.2022 The SA Winter Baseball Association AGM will be held at Kensington Baseball Club on Tuesday 1 April 2014 for a 7:30pm start. So if you are interested in playing this year, comment here so we can get an idea on numbers.

14.01.2022 Was a great day for baseball! The game was up and down all day with Wannabies getting off to a slow start but in a true Wannabies spirit found our way back into the game twice to make it a close game for all to enjoy. The game was played in good spirit by both teams (except for one joke of a man has to be said) Highlights again was Nigel picking up multiple RBI's and Willie who stole 4 bases with an on base average of a 1000 and scoring off Nigels hits also picking up a tripl...e at the end almost scoring the tying run. Bucko started the game as he finished last week picking up ground balls after ground balls but the field let him down at the start. Again Wannabies proved that it isn't over until the umpire calls time and game. Unfortunately we didn't take home the win but are still winners due to the way we go about playing the game we all love. Congrats to SYTO on their win. Thankyou to all Wannabies for making winter the most enjoyable time of the year and hope to see you all next year. Time and game for now!! See more

05.01.2022 The winter season is finished but I thought some Wannabies would be interested in supporting a fellow Wannabies in raising some money for Breast Cancer Research. Dave 'Willie" Wilson is asking for people to sponsor him with $5-$10 per hit in the month of October, 100% of the money goes to Breast Cancer Research. He will be doing this for 4 weeks, on average of 4 at bats a week would be 16 at bats for 4 weeks, so if you sponsor him and he bats -1000 then it would work out to $160 donation. But it is very unlikely he will get a hit every at bat for 4 weeks. If you are interested in doing this then you can comment here or post on this wall.. The season starts in approx 3-4 weeks time, so get involved in raising money for a good cause.
