23.01.2022 A massive thank you to all WFMA Flaggies and all officials for your efforts during the Pirtek Perth Supernight. It was challenging, exciting and so much more all at the same time. I was particularly impressed with our newest officials and with the YO program. Great job to all involved

23.01.2022 Just wanted to say an enormous thank you to all the flaggies who turned up on what was a fairly horrendous stinking hot day. By 11am it was over 34C but Arnold and Glen decided flag point 8 was still too cold so started their own little bonfire. Peter and Stephen took home the most reports award from flag point 4 of all places thanks mainly to excels being, well, excels. Nathan and Ray decided to park the car, which lapped the entire field in the first 15 minutes of the endur...o, in the sand 3 laps from the end. We had a BMW randomly stopping at various parts of the circuit, Ken and Dennis did a fantastic job with blue flags in pit lane and simultaneously managing turn 1, while Pete Warrener and Jaimee executed the perfect gender reveal! It was a short day but you all did a really amazing job in really trying conditions. Thank you so much to each and every one of you, and I look forward to seeing you all again next year! (and Stephen K is clearly a better driver than me as he didnt even crash the bus this event!) - James H See more

22.01.2022 ...We've moved.

20.01.2022 #FIAVolunteersWeekend is again on this coming weekend. A weekend to celebrate those who dedicate their time to make motor sport possible around the world. A big thank you to everyone, regardless of your role as there are way too many to name and list, who make motor sport events happen. https://www.fia.com/2019-fia-volunteers-weekend-resource-pa

19.01.2022 Fantastic action packed day at Wanneroo Raceway today for the "first" race meeting back after the you-know-what stopped things for a while. Many a report written and we had our work cut out with a change in many procedures and positions but all the hard work paid off. Hope to see everyone at the next event!

18.01.2022 Just a heads up for WASCCs next race meeting on 23rd June and whatever else may be on that weekend.

17.01.2022 PIRTEK Perth SuperNight Weather Watch #1 If you havent packed your wet weather gear and a garbage bag to protect your track bag, perhaps start to think about it. After a week of glorious weather, Mother Nature appears to be having a laugh at our expense and may provide us with a wet race day of Saturday after a beautiful warm day on Friday and a very cool day on Thursday. It would be wise to bring some warm clothing of some description, particularly on Thursday and Saturday.... If you are located on FP5-FP9/FP9R, its going to be cold with a crosswind as a constant regardless of how windy it is anywhere else around the track. Whoever is doing a rain dance, youre welcome to stop now.

17.01.2022 PIRTEK Perth SuperNight Weather Watch #4 Whos the culprit? Who started their rain dance again? More rain and a higher chance of it happening. Who do I need to glare at? WFMA members, theres clear wet weather gear in The Shed that can be borrowed if needed. ... And if I find the rain dance culprit, there will be a strongly worded letter coming your way. To everyone at the PIRTEK Perth SuperNight event starting tomorrow, stay safe and have fun. See you when the sun is up (for once!!!).

16.01.2022 If anyone is available to help out, please get in touch with Targa West.

12.01.2022 Update: No longer available thanks all! SALE SALE SALE!!! Ok sort of but anyway you could own a piece of WFMA history! The old shed bar/bench needs a new home. One careful owner, only driven on weekends. Contact us if interested, we would like a small donation to WFMA on collection, thanks!

11.01.2022 Calling all WA Officials We need all hands on deck for the Ernie Hastie Memorial being run 18-19 May at CollieMotorplex. All dorm beds and the meeting room has been set aside for officials to sleep free at the track. ... Please respond here, PM the page or email [email protected] if you are available. Positions available in most teams. Its set to be a big one! Be part of it!

11.01.2022 For anyone wanting to take part in the day. Celebrate the awesome that volunteers bring to our sport and beyond!

10.01.2022 It's official! Come be part of WA's newest track at the Ernie Hastie Memorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10.01.2022 PIRTEK Perth SuperNight Weather Watch #5 Day 1 of SuperNight lived up to all expectation. It was a great practice under lights for Supercars and a very enjoyable day of practice and qualifying. Weather was very windy, quite cold but dry. Tomorrow is looking dry and windy as well, but hopefully a lot warmer!... Saturday.... Well, 100% chance of rain in the morning now but hopefully not a lot of water falling from sky. So cold, windy and wet! All the fun to come!

10.01.2022 PIRTEK Perth SuperNight Weather Watch #2 Well, look at that. At least one person has stopped their rain dance because the amount of rain and the possibility of rain has decreased... slightly. Not so great is now theres a possibility of a morning storm on Saturday. If a decent amount of water falls from the sky, drivers can likely kiss goodbye to the decent amount of rubber laid down on Thursday and Friday, any oil around the place will sit on top, and this is going to be FU...N! Its still going to be cold on Thursday and Saturday. Its still going to be very windy all three days. Doesnt matter if it comes from the west or the east, the breeze will still be fresh. Warm clothes and wet weather gear still a must! And for those who have set your Foxtel boxes set to record the weekend, be mindful that up until yesterday, Foxtel changed their schedule from 6 hour blocks to a breakdown of events. Then overnight they have split the breakdown even further to list Super2s separately. Check your recording setup or you may risk being disappointed and left with highlight packages only, and not recorded live events. Til tomorrows weather watch!

09.01.2022 Hi all! Still on the look out for more flaggies for this event. If you know of anyone interested in giving flag marshalling a go, give us a shout!

08.01.2022 Thank you everyone for you efforts over the last weekend. It was greatly appreciated. An outstanding display by officials and drivers alike, next one is a Nightmasters!

06.01.2022 Thank you for your efforts in 2020. It was very, very challenging at times. Thank you to everyone who got soaked on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Please accept this as my personal thanks to you for all your efforts in 2020 and I hope to see you in 2021. Peter M

05.01.2022 Our former President and current VP has her story shared as part of #FIAVolunteersWeekend celebrations! https://www.cams.com.au//a-life-well-spent-in-motor-sport-

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, as most of you have likely seen a lot of events have now been cancelled for a little while. We hope to see you all back soon. Here are a couple of links if you haven't already read them including the Supercars: https://www.facebook.com/wasportingcarclubinc/posts/3674949509214331 https://www.supercars.com//supercars-postpones-three-even/

04.01.2022 A big, BIG thank you to all the officials, both new and old alike as well as the drivers who helped over the last weekend. It was greatly appreciated especially on Sunday with the nice warm weather. Every class of racing put on a great show with some very close racing. Even the legless livestock tried to help out down at Flag Point 6

03.01.2022 For those headings to Barbs this weekend, be mindful of nearby road closures. Catch you on the weekend!

03.01.2022 It is with great sadness and heartache that we learn of the news that Rob Janney has passed away after a short fight with illness. Rob fought in the same way he went through life, with a quiet determination. Rob was the epitome of a true gentleman in our sport. There are few people that I know who leave this world without a single enemy or bad word against them. Rob did just this. He was a true friend to everyone who knew him. He was the steadfast support for everyone who ...wanted it. He stood up for what was right, for drivers, for officials and for our sport. No one could say a bad word against Rob, no one would believe them! Rob has been a driver and a Motorsport Australia official for longer than I have been alive. I have so many fond memories from my two decades of being an official at WA Sporting Car Club, while he has been a driver, an official, a commentator, a President, a Vice President, an advocate for the sport, and a supporter of so many people. He leaves behind so many loved ones, so many family members, so many friends. But he leaves us with an amazing legacy, his legacy. WA Motorsport is so much better off because Rob Janney was part of it. Rest in peace, you absolutely amazing and wonderful man. There are not enough words in the world to sum up everything you are to so many people but hopefully this goes towards being able to touch on it. Thank you for everything you have done, everything you stood for, and for giving us so much of you in our sport. Rob, you will be so very much missed. Dani Meyn Vice President

02.01.2022 PIRTEK Perth SuperNight Weather Watch #3 Looks like more people have stopped their rain dance because theres less rain forecast! On the flip side, its now cooler on Thursday and Friday. Still windy as anything. I can confirm it was blowing a gale today at Barbagallo Raceway and it was freezing this evening! Hopefully the light winds will mean nonexistent in the afternoon and evening/night. ... Warm clothing still a must. Wet weather a little less needed but still there as a possibility.

02.01.2022 As many of you would have seen, we have relocated. We have half of the old admin building, lots of comfy seating. The toilet and kitchen area are being otherwise utilised. We have an outdoor covered area as well. Entering is only from inside the WASCC grounds. Parking is on the grassed area in front of the new admin/race control. No parking near the new "shed". See you sometime soon at the track!
