25.01.2022 Tuesday 17 March 2020 *** Latest update from parkrun Australia: Following government advice and public health guidelines, we are suspending events in Australia from this weekend until at least the end of March. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in our community for the kindness and support you have all shown each other, not just in the last few weeks, but the two years we have been running. We are blessed to have such a beautiful bunch. Looking forward ...to parkrunning with you all again very soon. Stay safe

24.01.2022 In the hopeful event that parkrun can begin this Saturday, here is the link for the Covid-19 Framework. Welcome to Banjo for his first park run experience, he helped Alan tail walking today We have a blue water bottle that was left behind, shout if it is yours, we will bring it to next weeks event. We also had a visit at the turn around point from a couple of snakes, they didn't cause any drama but are a timely reminder to be aware as you're running the course. We had a couple of unknown runners today, if you scanned your barcode and haven't received your email, let us know and we can sort it out for you.

17.01.2022 What a great turn out today, even with the wet weather. Wanneroo parkrun event #101 had 97 people complete the course. The event was made possible by 8 volunteers: Rachael WOODFIELD April OWEN Melanie OLEARY Mike OLEARY Nicola AGRELA Declan OLEARY Isla OLEARY Paul KNOBLAUCH... Please note, park run has a strict no barcode - no result policy. It puts extra pressure on our volunteers and takes extra time to add people manually into results. To avoid missing out on your run being registered in the future, maybe consider keeping some spare barcodes in your glove box or head to Bent Logic for a wristband or tag. They start at $6.80!!! https://parkrun-shop.com.au/

11.01.2022 COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update from parkrun HQ All parkrun events across the world will be suspended throughout the month of May. We continue to monitor the situation in all the countries in which we operate, with a particular focus on social distancing requirements. Whilst some countries are beginning to slowly implement processes for relaxing their specific restrictions, it is not yet clear how this might impact the delivery of parkrun events. Importantly, we would also lik...e to let you know that in all instances we will be taking a cautious approach to re-opening our events. And will only be doing so where not only do that countrys specific public health guidelines allow, but where we can be confident that our volunteer teams will not be placed under undue pressure. Due to the unprecedented nature of this challenge there is no easy way to predict or forecast how or when we might be able to start the process of re-opening. However, we continue to consult with as wide a range of specialists as possible, and to work behind the scenes such that we are ready to go when appropriate. We will get through this together. See more

10.01.2022 It's time to jump for joy.... After parkrun Australia has had continued discussions with the Department of Health and Local Government, we are very pleased to confirm that Wanneroo will reopen Saturday 24 October under our COVID-19 Framework. https://volunteer.parkrun.com//open-with-covid-19-manageme...
