25.01.2022 ALL STARS 2020 Teams are in for next Wednesday! Arrival @ 3pm Bouncedown 3.30pm

25.01.2022 Term 4 has been all about fitness testing, including a number of tests similar to the AFL Draft Combine. Students have worked hard to beat their previous best scores and there have been some exceptional performances. Maddox (Year 8) broke the Yoyo test record with a score of Level 20.3 while Tom (Year 9) narrowly missed the school beep test record of 14.3 held by Koopah Todd (Tom scored 14.2). A number of year group records were beaten across the groups as well. A great way to finish the year and it gives the students some goals to aim for when we do it again in Term 1. Great work students.

24.01.2022 Some photos of our Year 8 Specialist students in action on their Laser Corps reward excursion today. Luckily they kick straighter than they fire laser guns.

22.01.2022 Well done to our 9 representatives of the West Perth Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy squad who played a carnival today in Coogee against the other WAFL clubs. Well done to Darcy, Isaiah, James, John, Daniel, Beau, Jayren, Blake and Flynn. All boys played really well and the West Perth team won every game except 1 to finish 2nd for the day. The team was coached by Mr Moscarda, Mr Verazzi and Mr Minchin. We think Mr Moscarda looks great in purple. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school next week for a big term 4. Go Warriors .

17.01.2022 Well done to Tyrell who was voted runner up best and fairest in the Year 8 Tom Barrass Northern Conference competition. A fantastic effort by a dedicated young man.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to the Year 8/9 team who went through our Eagles Cup competition undefeated after beating Mater Dei 10.9.69 to 2.3.15. It was another terrific display of team footy from start to finish and it's enjoyable to watch them play such a fast style of footy. Better players today were Luke (kicked 5 goals), Tom, Henry, Maddox and Blair. Well done to all students over the duration of the carnival for the way they conducted themselves and for playing some brilliant footy. Thanks to Zac and Daniel (Year 10) who made themselves available to umpire our home games and to Liam for goal umpiring every game. Finally thanks to all staff and parents who came and watched and supported throughout the competition. Go the Warriors .

14.01.2022 Wanneroo vs Kalgoorlie

13.01.2022 Thanks to Kalgoorlie Boulder Community High School for a friendly game against a mixture of our Year 8-10s at school today. The game was played in good spirits and was a good learning experience for some of our students. Well done to Cooper (Year 10) who was awarded the best player for us. Thanks to Bailey and Jayden (Year 11) for umpiring and all parents who came and watched.

13.01.2022 Yesterday the Yr 10’s attended ECU to complete their second phase of their fitness testing, organised by the West Coast Eagles. Some great results with Josh running his 20m sprint in 2.70 seconds, quicker than Joel Wilkinson’s AFL draft camp record of 2.75s in 2010!! Following the testing, the ECU staff showed everyone around the facilities and courses on offer at the campus. We finished up at the beach to cool down and a kick of the footy. Well done all students for their efforts and thanks to the West Coast Eagles and ECU for organising and having us

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Michael Mallard who was recognised by The West Australian in their Colts Team of the Year! He has averaged 17 touches and 30 hit outs a game. An outstanding effort. Good luck for the finals series Michael

09.01.2022 Good luck to all teams playing in finals over the weekend. The year 7 boys got some last minute kicking and ground ball work in yesterday to prepare the Joondalup boys for their grand final on Monday. Play hard from the start .

06.01.2022 Over 30 budding young year 6 AFL stars trialled in our 2nd round of trials yesterday, making a combined total of 70 male and female students vying for a position in 2021. We're proud to say this is our highest total of students trialling ever. Some great talent was shown through various fitness and skill tests, which culminated in a competitive game being played between Orange and blue. We will now collate the data and students will be notified before the end of the term. Well done to all students and good luck. Go the Warriors

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Michael (middle of back row) once again! A big 12 months for him and a great role model to all students. All the best in the future young man

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Joel who polled well in his competition as well. Great to see all of our students doing well.

05.01.2022 Our Year 7-10 Specialist Girls had a chance to showcase their talent against each other (and the rest of the school) today. It was a closely fought contest but yellow just won by 9 points. The intensity was great from the start with all players hungry to get the footy and all coaches were pleased with their progress. Looking forward to watching them play a few more games in term 4. Great work girls. Enjoy the holidays all.

05.01.2022 The massive week of footy news at the school continues with Michael Mallard selected in the State U18’s 2020 Squad!!! Congratulations Michael and all the best from everyone at Wanneroo Secondary College
