22.01.2022 COACH RENEWAL REMINDER We are trialling the reminder system in MyPonyClub. It appears that current coaches have not been filtered in this automatic reminder. If you know your membership is current please disregard the email. Thanks for your patience and understating.
22.01.2022 Did you know that there are no minimum ages for starting any of our eight proficiency certificates? Now you can start as soon as you are ready! To see what each... certificate involves - or to do a self assessment, visit our Syllabus page at: https://ponyclubaustralia.com.au/syllabus/ #noholdingback #whenyoureready #areyouready #justsaywhen
22.01.2022 For Crafty Tuesday this week, here is another simple Christmas present idea. How good does this key holder look? All you need is:... one old horse shoe some horse shoe nails a hammer a piece of wood 2 cans of spray paint in different colours (optional) a short length of fishing line or strong thread to attach to the back, using glue or small screw-in hooks like picture frames have. You can leave it rustic or paint the pieces first. This is even something you could make at Pony Club for - as one club calls it - a 'crafternoon' activity on a hot or wet day. We'd love to see your efforts! #craftytuesday

19.01.2022 Twig Christmas trees are so easy and inexpensive to make with just a few branches or twigs, and some twine. You can then get creative by hanging any leftover de...corations from your real Christmas tree on the twigs. You will need: -Branches or twigs -Pruning shears -Twine -Scissors -Strong hook -Decorations -Spare twinkle lights (optional) To make: 1. Start by gathering up branches and twigs in different sizes. Leave them in a shed to dry out. When they are dry, line them up in size order to create a tree shape. You may need to cut some to size. 2. To keep the tree hanging straight and secure, tie three rows of twine to link the branches, keeping to your tree shape. Start at the top and work your way down. Take time to ensure each branch is as straight as its natural bends will allow. 3. Once complete, tie a loop of twine at the centre of the top branch and hang your tree from a strong hook. Thread some small baubles on twine and hang from the middle of the bottom branch with a decoration at the end to create the look of the tree trunk. Decorate the rest of the tree. ...and voilà! A space-saving Christmas tree that looks great on any blank wall! Photo credit: Annie Swan (VIC) Instructions source: https://www.prima.co.uk//how-to-make-a-twig-christmas-tree/

13.01.2022 In this album, you will find shareable material to put on your own Club page and share with local equestrian groups to celebrate all that Pony Club has to offer.
13.01.2022 At its last meeting, State Council has resolved to change the qualifying criteria to be eligible to the following: 18.8.b A combination (club member and horse) ...wishing to participate in a pony club section of a competition or any other activity (other than supervised rally or instructional activities) hosted by a pony club, must achieve the minimum number of qualifying rally attendances: i. Junior senior and adult riding members - two mounted rallies by the combination within the preceding 12 months effective September 1st 2020 This means that effective immediately, Juniors, Associates and Adults now only need two attendances to qualify. Juniors previously required 5 rallies. This change is intended to simplify attending Pony Club competitions, particularly in light of the reduced opportunity due to COVID restrictions. In other news, State Council has elected to change the name of 'Associate Membership' to 'Senior Membership' to better reflect the age group.
10.01.2022 It's crafty Tuesday and here's a suggestion for keeping your saddle and stirrups clean and stop them rubbing - using a double oven mitt. You can either buy one ...from a store like Target or KMart, or make one yourself. If you want to try your hand at this, here's a video to help you. Note, you won't need the double insulation layers in the middle if you are not planning to use it to take hot items out of the oven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQD_7gNyKtE We are sure many of our members have great ideas for making or recycling horse products and could share a 'crafty Tuesday activity. We'd love you to send your ideas to us so we can share them! Send (with a photo if possible) to [email protected] or put in the comments below. #craftytuesday #stirrups #protectyoursaddle #handyhorsehint

05.01.2022 Do you have spare gear? It's crafty Tuesday and here's a great way to recycle old bits and stirrups. Why not decorate some for Christmas? You can leave them rus...tic, or give them a quick spray paint with silver paint spray and glitter. Glue on your decorations and you are done. We'd love to see the results. NOTE: Some more inspiring ideas are already posted below! #craftytuesday #bitsandstirrups #horseychristmasdecorations
