20.01.2022 Organic Shiitake mushrooms and Pearl Oyster mushrooms are growing right now in our Forest Floor rooms, as part of our Playground to Plate produce this term! The children have been helping spray and water the mushrooms every day. David has included these homegrown mushrooms in our Beef Stew and vegetarian Lentil Stew menu items this week. Yum!

14.01.2022 Our dedicated centre Chef, David will be busy in our commercial kitchen, each day, lovingly preparing healthy and nutritious meals for all of our children. Our menu is compiled with the guidance of Nutrition Australia's Healthy Eating Advisory Service Victorian Food Checker to ensure that our meals will give our children the nourishment that need for their growing bodies. 13.01.2022 We've had many questions about KINDERGARTEN. Yes, we ARE offering both 3 & 4 year-old Kindergarten programs. Our integrated Kinder programs are run progressively throughout each day in our Foragers & Evergreens rooms, meaning that no matter what time your child arrives/leaves our service, if they attend in either of these two rooms, the Kinder program will be delivered to these children by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. This allows more flexibility than other Kinder pr...ograms and given that we are a Long Daycare Provider, you can also apply for the childcare subsidy if your child is attending Kinder at our service - the daily fee is the same regardless whether your child attends for Kinder or Childcare. #kindergarten #enroltoday #opening27July

08.01.2022 Introducing Gautam & his son, Jacob, who have for some months, like many of our enrolled and interested families, been patiently awaiting the opening of our service. Gautam has stayed in contact with us often over the time we've had to remain closed, and is keen to share his story with our community of followers and families... "We are really looking forward to sending Jacob to Wantirna South ELC so he can continue his journey in learning and development. Earlier this year, ...Jacob accompanied me to work with his previous centre being in the same building as my place of work. Ever since the pandemic hit, work had told me to work from home and as a result, I've had to pull Jacob out from the centre in the CBD... Since March, it's been a gruelling effort in trying to keep him entertained, enthusiastic and motivated to learn. Epic kudos to my wife who has managed to achieve this but as my daughter, Mikayla, starts to grow (8 months now) and recently decided to go for a crawl, it's becoming difficult to sustain that quality for Jacob and balancing time to focus on Mikayla. It's been challenging times but ultimately, we need to get back to some normality so we will definitely be putting our hands up to get Jacob into a new and exciting environment where he can meet new friends and take his learning to a new level. We need the centre and they need us! Staying apart keeps us together doesn't even make any sense...Working together keeps us together!" - Gautam.
