20.01.2022 Albany Detectives have charged a 16-year-old male after an incident on York Street, Albany that occurred on Saturday, 28 November 2020 which resulted in a man being injured. About 2.45am, a 27-year-old man was standing outside a take-away food store when it is alleged the teenager approached him and punched him to the face. The victim received facial injuries which required treatment at the Albany Health Campus. It is further alleged the teenager approached another man who w...as sitting on a brick wall and punched him several times to the head area. There were numerous people in the area at the time of the incident and detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, and ask anyone with dash-cam or mobile phone vision of the incident to come forward. Anyone with information relating to this assault is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimstopperswa.com.au. The 16-year-old from Lower King has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and is due to appear before the Albany Children’s Court on 11 December 2020.
