19.01.2022 Please don't forget about us! We cannot operate without the amazing team of people that are the staff of Waratah Beach Camp. It's a very real possibility that this week is the last time we see them all together. They are currently looking for work because we have nothing to give them. The Department of Education's decision to cancel all school camps has our industry on its knees. We are going to lose many of the school camp locations we all remember from our childhood withou...t assistance. With no schools visiting our camp our staff members have no work. We desperately want to look after them but cannot do anything without help from families, community groups, churches, sporting groups, and THE GOVERNMENT. What can you do? Come stay with us. Come try our activities. Call it a quarantine camp if you need to. Keep our income flowing. We are all for the measures taken to slow the spread of the coronavirus so groups of more than 100 are out of the question. What can the government do? DON'T FORGET US! Do not delay the reintroduction of school camps and excursions when the time comes. Remember us when the financial assistance packages are created. We are strong enough to get through this if the right decisions are made now. Australia, please don't forget about your local camps. Scott Morrison, PLEASE DON'T FORGET ABOUT US!!
