22.01.2022 Sad news. We have just been informed by Taswater that the sale of the reservoir has failed. They will be contacting the government on Monday to have it decommissioned. What will happen to all the animals and birds and fish that call this place home and what will happen to Waratahs water supply safety in dry conditions. This decision is a blatent act of environmental vandalism by a out of control government entity.

22.01.2022 Great thank you Craig

21.01.2022 I will have 8 small food hampers to give out on Friday for the Waratah people from Produce for the people. Please contact Belinda 0488948116 I will also have some eggs and bread too.

21.01.2022 Today at Waratah, as part of Mental Health Week, we had our Forget-Me-Not morning tea. We also had activities including making squares for our Memory Quilt and ...making small care hearts. It was a very successful event. I would like to thank our team (Anne, Kim, Gina & Linda) for the organization, to Lynne Jarvis (Project Co-ordinator for Greater Choice for at home Palliative Care) for her talk, to the Waratah-Wynyard Council for their support & assistance, to Roz for reading her beautiful poems, & to the Waratah Community for supporting this event. There was a lovely feeling of friendship and discussion in the room acknowledging the importance of mental health & looking out for each other. Thank you See more

14.01.2022 I am sorry to say that I will not be delivering any more hampers for Waratah community. As Grow Gather Give have been told that the people on my list get there stuff from the community hub in Waratah. I know 1 or 2 people might get a few things here and there but not all the time. So I am sorry for the 7- 8 families and the 8 single Adults who I delivered to in the passed there will not be any more hampers. There will not be any more free eggs at the Post Office like there has been in the last 2 weeks.

13.01.2022 Bit more information

13.01.2022 Perhaps someone in the group can tell us what is happening with the memorial with the re-development of the river-end of Reibey Street. I’m presuming it’s in... storage until it is re-erected. It would be reassuring to hear from someone at the pointy end of the re-development for confirmation if its intended fate! See more
