02.01.2022 Dear Waratah Customers, This week the Victorian Government of Australia has announced stricter measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria regions. Our Australian Waratah Distribution Centre is within the Metropolitan area of this stage 4 lockdown. We have been busy in the last few days determining and confirming our ability to remain open.... We can now provide you an update in how we will continue support you, maintain the health and safety of our staff and ensure we do everything we can to help tackle this pandemic. We are committed to the reduction of spread and exposure to this virus and since March this year we have been maintaining a comprehensive COVID Safe plan. We have reduced our onsite resource, defined work from home roles, ceased customer visits and maintained a weekly roster for key staff for isolation. All actions which have lowered the risk for our staff, provides business continuity and lessens people movement in the region. Based on community responsibility and examination of the Stage 4 guideline document issued by the Victorian Government this week, Waratah has conducted a self-assessment and believe we qualify as a permitted industry. The category being - Open (for on-site work) - COVID Safe Plan. The specific Sectors referenced in coming to this conclusion are: 1. Agriculture, Forestry & Fishing. 2. Retail trade (Goods) 3. Transport, Postal & Warehousing 4. Other Services Our plan to have our Melbourne Distribution and Support Centre open in a limited scope to provide: Phone and online Product Technical and Warranty support. Phone or online parts ordering and support processes. Click and collect parts ordering is available, however this is strictly contact free handover and no access to visitors is allowed onsite. We are committed to adhering to the Government and medical advice and guidelines which includes face coverings and the physical distancing of at least 1.5m. We expect that some transport timelines will be affected under Metropolitan Stage 4 restrictions, we at Waratah will do everything we can to provide visibility to any delays and provide options where we can. We appreciate that this is a difficult time for us all. We would like to reassure you that our thoughts and plans remain focused on safety and maintaining continuity of business in adherence with Federal and State Government directives. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. Jules Larsen Managing Director Waratah Asia Pacific and Africa
