21.01.2022 Both Premier Grade and B Grade are through to the Grand Final. Our two E Grade teams get their chance today.

19.01.2022 Our perfectly choreographed weekend hasn't quite materialised with the postponement of both the Premier Grade and B Grade Grand Finals. Weather pending, the Premier Grade Grand Final has been pushed back one day and the B Grade Grand Final one week. The E Grade Grand Final is on track to proceed as scheduled, thanks to Club Captain and Curator Isaac Conway, who has worked hard today to ensure the pitch will be ready. Unfortunately, the end-of-season activities planned for Ga...rdens Oval tomorrow afternoon will no longer proceed, primarily because many supporters will now be at Marrara cheering on the Premier Grade team. Please note however that we will be heading back to the Waratah Clubrooms at Gardens Oval for post-game drinks - win, lose or draw. Finally, the Senior Presentation Night scheduled for next Friday will also now most likely be shifted. An announcement on this will be made on Monday. Good luck to the Premier Grade, Waratah Red and Waratah White teams tomorrow. See more

17.01.2022 This week we're announcing the All About Demolition Services NT Player of the Week for the past two rounds, with both winners coming from Premier Grade. Ashley Chandrasinghe has slotted perfectly into the No.4 batting position in Premier Grade and in Rd 12 he made a very stylish 86 in our win against Tracy Village. And last weekend, Himesh Silva produced a match-winning performance against Southern Districts with a super impressive 5/12.... Congratulations Ash and Himesh.

17.01.2022 Monet’s Cricketer of the YearAward and super spell recognised nationally. Well done Monet.

16.01.2022 Well done Shorty and team. What a fantastic result. SUCCESS!

16.01.2022 A reminder that the Club AGM will be held this Sunday at 4pm in the Gardens Oval Clubhouse. The AGM will be followed by end of year drinks. https://www.facebook.com/events/832981930790520

15.01.2022 The Waratah Cricket Scholarship is a $5,000 annual scholarship provided to a young Darwin-based cricketer, to allow them to achieve their education goals at Charles Darwin University, while pursuing their love of cricket as a playing member of the Waratah Warriors Cricket Club. We are pleased to announce, the winner of the 2020 Waratah Cricket Scholarship is final year Master of Professional Accounting student, and Waratah cricketer, Kanishka Weerakoon. Congratulations Kanishka.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Ian Goode, who at yesterday's AGM, was elected a Life Member of the Waratah Cricket Club. The awarding of life membership to Goodie is due recognition of his contribution to the Club. He commenced playing cricket for the Tahs in 2001 and continued playing until 2012.... He has served on the committee for 3 years and been the Club's Mr Fix-it, attending to all maintenance and repair issues. He has kept all of our equipment, particularly our rollers, in good working order, with much of the work done at his own expense. Congratulations Goodie.

13.01.2022 There’s only one place to be next Saturday...Gardens Oval!

13.01.2022 Photos from the Carlton Mid Premier Grade Round 9 match between Palmerston and Waratah at Cazalys Oval on Sunday 2 August 2020. Waratah (3-153) defeated Palmerston (152). Photos by Aaron Black - Little Big City Media.

12.01.2022 What a brilliant weekend for the Waratah Warriors, with a clean sweep in all senior grades (except of course the Derby where there could only be one winner). The Premier Grade Men and B Grade finished their minor round season with excellent wins against Southern Districts. Both teams have a bye this weekend, and now begin preparations for their respective semi-finals on Sat 12 September. The Women secured a win against Palmerston and are now one-game clear on top of the ladde...r with just one game remaining. The C Grade have bedded down third position, after a hard fought win against South Districts Black. The Warriors and the Lions played out a thrilling game in the D Grade Derby before Patron's Lunch guests, with the Warriors fighting back after it appeared the Lions were getting on top. And our two E Grade teams are going from strength to strength. Waratah Red won a nail-biter against Southern Districts and Waratah White's score of 9-254 proved too much for Palmerston. The Reds have secured the Minor Premiership and the Whites are a realistic chance to claim the other "home" semi-final. And finally, a big thank you to Club Patron, Michael Martin OAM, who organised an extremely successful Patron's Lunch, raising more than $4,000 for Junior and Women's programs at the Club. Go Tahs!

09.01.2022 Your Grand Final weekend is sorted.

09.01.2022 A ton on debut for our man Isaac Conway. Great job Skip.

08.01.2022 Waratah Warrior players continue to perform strongly down south. James Seymour and Ashley Chandrasinghe represented Vic Premier Team in a win against the Vic State squad today. Jimmy, batting at three, scored a brilliant unbeaten 110 off 97 balls and Ash, opening the batting, compiled a nice 35. ... Keep up the great work boys.

08.01.2022 Do you have any old photos of Waratah Cricket Club? The club is currently building a new website and is calling for old photos. We're after things like team photos, social pics, junior player pics, women's team photos, action shots, Fannie Bay Oval pics, premiership celebrations etc. Basically anything that you think will look good on our new website. Please email them to: [email protected]

06.01.2022 A big thank you to Emily Tjung from Essential Training and Fitness whose weekly fitness sessions played a massive role in our success this year.

06.01.2022 A memorable season comes to a close for the Waratah Warriors. A season that saw us capture the Premier Grade Men, Women's, B Grade and E Grade Premierships. Congratulations to our Premiership Captains Isaac Conway, Melissa Campbell, Chris Garth and Lorenzo Peake and Himanshu Bhatia and Club Coach Udara Weerasinghe.... Congratulations to our award recipients, particularly James Seymour, winner of the Waratah Way and Michael Martin Awards and Hugo Matthias, winner of the Topperwien Award for Junior Cricketer of the Year. And thank you the entire Waratah cricket family - Sponsors, Patron's Club members, Life Members, coaches, scorers, supporters, parents, partners and players. Season 2020 will long be remembered as the start of an exciting era for our Club.

06.01.2022 TODAY'S FINALS ACTION

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Club Captain Isaac Conway who has been selected for the South Australia 2nd XI to play Tasmania in a four day game commencing in Hobart tomorrow. This is just reward for the hard work and strong performances we've seen from Isaac since making the move to Port Adelaide. Congratulations and good luck Skip!

02.01.2022 The cream is rising to the top. This week's All About Demolition Services NT Player of the Week is Udara Weerasinghe. Udara put the brakes on the PINT run chase last Saturday, returning the excellent figures of 4/53. Earlier in the day he compiled a quickfire 27 runs in our healthy total of 298.... Congratulations Udara.

01.01.2022 For most, 2020 will go down as a year to forget. At the Waratah Warriors, we didn’t think things were too bad. Happy New Year everyone and here’s to a successful 2021.
