10.01.2022 UPDATE on puppy availability. Here's an update from our website. We apologise to the many families who are/were hoping to purchase a Cavoodle or Shoodle puppy from us in 2020. Waratah Puppies specialises in breeding, raising and training puppies for children on the Autism Spectrum; with physical disabilities or people living with anxiety, depression or PTSD/CPTSD. ... In ‘normal’ years, our gorgeous puppies are also purchased by families without a family member with additional needs. However because of the unusual circumstances we are facing in 2020 we took the unprecedented step of closing our general waiting list in early May 2020. Since then we’ve still received a large number of enquiries from families hoping to purchase a puppy from us because of the additional service we provide over and above what other breeders provide. Unfortunately we will NOT HAVE PUPPIES available to people on our general waiting list until at least January 2021 and depending on how many additional needs enquiries we continue to receive our general waiting list may remain closed for the foreseeable future. We apologise to the many families who would love to purchase a puppy from us however for over ten years we have bred and raised our puppies PRIMARILY for children on the Autism Spectrum or with additional needs and we are committed to unashamedly prioritising placing our puppies with these families. With our current breeding program, we unfortunately won’t have puppies available to other families for the remainder of 2020. Many of our puppies go onto formal training as Assistance or Therapy Dogs. As we are the only breeder of Cavoodle puppies providing basic obedience training PLUS the option to participate in an introductory Assistance Dog in Training (ADiT) program for puppies before they’re sold (as an alternative to Labrador / Golden Retriever Assistance Dogs), we have a continuously increasing waiting list for our gorgeous puppies to these families. We thank our staff, previous puppy owners and future puppy parents for your ongoing support and encouragement during this difficult time. While we know this will be disappointing news for many families particularly those hoping for Christmas holiday puppies we hope everyone understands and appreciates our priorities. Thanks, Kaylene We have new initiatives in the pipeline. Watch this space :)

08.01.2022 Emily is today's Player of the Match. Well done Emily! Emily scored 3 goals; helped set up others; won the ball many, many times and probably ran 5+kms in today's game! GUFC's NPLW Under 13s had a high energy game today winning 9:0. ... It's getting harder each week to choose one player of the match as ALL the girls are playing all out each match.... which is what skill development is all about. Well done girls - proudly sponsored by Waratah Puppies.

07.01.2022 Congratulations Lavidia - our Player of the Match playing a great game, making some great runs. GUFC's NPLW Under 13s played a tough game today and it was a tense game to watch from the sidelines. The girls displayed commitment and improved ball skills and the end result was 2:2. Well done girls. Well done Lavidia - Congratulations. Waratah Puppies - Pawsable Training proudly sponsors the NPLW Under 13s for the Gungahlin United Football Club

06.01.2022 We're very proud to announce Charlie was the Player of the Match on Sunday 30th May. Gungahlin United Football Club's NPLW under 13s team is 1/3 through their season - they are playing well together; working hard on their skill development, communication and goal scoring. A number of the girls also help out as mentors and assistant coaches at MiniRoo games on Saturday . . . . which provides great leadership (and sometimes problem solving) opportunities for the girls. Go Gunners

05.01.2022 Waratah Puppies is a FINALIST in the Best in Service Category of the 2020 Altitude Awards. We are thrilled and honoured to be notified today of this exciting news. From humble beginnings in 2010 with the goal of breeding puppies for children on the Autism Spectrum, we have grown and expanded our business to provide happy, healthy puppies to people living with anxiety, depression or PTSD.... We provide a VERY comprehensive service to our buyers. All our puppies are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, well socialised, crate trained, with toilet training begun and basic obedience training BEFORE they join their new families. In addition we offer an introduction to Assistance Dog in Training (ADiT) program - an early training program for puppies which will be trained as an Assistance or Therapy Dog. I would like to thank my staff, past and present; the vets and trainers who have worked with us over the past 10 years to develop the best dog breeding and training service we can provide to Australian families. Our goal has always been to enrich the lives of people through the unconditional love of a puppy companion. This recognition encourages us to continue to provide the Best Service we can to our puppy buyers and to continue to add value particularly to those families where a puppy makes significance in their lives. WISH US LUCK for the announcement of the Best in Service winner at the Awards Gala Ball on 7th November. We wish the other finalists all the best as well. We understand there were over 200 entries in the Altitude Awards this year with up to 35 entries in many of the categories. We also want to thank our past and future customer. YOU are the reason we do what we do and why we LOVE it as much as we do. Thank you. Kaylene
