25.01.2022 And after some final tweaking we are thrilled to announce the Pazmany PL-4A - the CAC CA-36 is airworthy and flying !!! This is the first aircraft in the Australian National Aviation Museum to return to the skies. We have had a lot of fun working on it, and tomorrow it flies to the Avalon Airshow Video clip below :) https://youtu.be/QRUy91RGRyg

25.01.2022 We pride ourselves on teaching the next generation the skills required to manufacture and restore various aircraft parts, from warbirds to GA. Meet our young crew who are the future, and have a great weekend :)

19.01.2022 And from the same arrival as the control column, we received a fantastic example of the undercarriage lever from a Spitfire

18.01.2022 We thought it might be a good time to share some of the many processes we do when working on aircraft. We don't use computers, we use original machinery, drawings and good old fashioned brain power to make parts. This sequence is a small part of getting skins ready for fitting to a P-40. More to follow :) Feel free to share...

18.01.2022 The CAC CA-36 - the last aircraft fully built by CAC, going through final checks and engine runs before taxi test and sign off.

17.01.2022 And with the weather being good the volunteers over at the Museum took delivery of the prop and cowl and fitted them up. Excellent stuff :)

14.01.2022 From a recent donation to the Museum, these manuals are incredible :)

12.01.2022 While moving some stuff out of stores today I happened across this amazing panel off Canberra A84-246 which served with 2 sqdn in the Malayan Emergency and also in Vietnam. Needless to say it will form a new display down the track

09.01.2022 A rather spectacular new arrival to the hangar! It has suffered some corrosion bursts but rare to see a complete and original one popping up these days. It's a MKXVIII Spitfire control column.

06.01.2022 End of a busy week.... P-40 skin being fitted prior to priming, Boomerang engine mount and final DC-3 prop painted up. Enjoy your weekend !

03.01.2022 Speaking of Canberra things...... https://www.aeromilauctions.com//original-rolls-royce-avo/

02.01.2022 DC-3 prop into silver, looking great :)

01.01.2022 Part of the Museum's annual program is fundraising for training youth and unemployed. Please share this link with as many as you can and hopefully we will reach our targets :) https://www.gofundme.com/training-youth-for-future-paths
