25.01.2022 Today we were blessed with beautiful weather for the annual Warburton Up and Running event. It is always inspiring to see people of all ages and fitness levels participating in the Kids Dash, 5km, 10km and half-marathon. Our campers have also enjoyed watching the entrants run past their camp sites along the picturesque Yarra River. Well done to all of the participants, supporters and volunteers!

23.01.2022 To all of our beloved guests, as understandable as it may be, it is with great disappointment that as of midnight last night the Victorian Government has re-imposed Stage 3 restrictions on the Melbourne Metro area (which includes us). On the bright side however, unlike last time we have a tentative end date for the prohibition on non-essential travel, Wednesday 19th of August at 11:59pm. We will continue to operate as we did during the previous lockdown - behind closed door...s with a skeleton staff - to continue to answer any enquiries you may have. Our thoughts are with you all as you go through your own tough times. We look forward to hopefully seeing your smiling faces in the not too distant future.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder that, despite a significant part of Victoria being ravaged by fires, we are definitely open for business. We are fortunate to have no fires in close proximity, and in fact enjoyed 21mm of rain last night. With the forecast predicting mild conditions over the next 10 days, with more rain coming, it is a great time to camp at Warburton!

21.01.2022 HELP WANTED: we are interested in the identity of these two lowlifes, who, together with a third individual, went on a theft spree last night at Warburton Holiday Park. Between the hours of say 1.30 am and 3.30 am these parasites systematically raided a number of camp sites and stole alcohol. We know it was these winners as we have excellent CCTV footage of them sneaking into campsites and helping themselves to guests’ fridges. They were also seen by some of these guests.... Please share this post to any Warburton Facebook group you may belong to, and hopefully we can identify them. Theft is a low dog act, and these idiots should be ashamed of themselves. Much appreciated!

20.01.2022 As some of our guests may know there has been a flurry of activity over the last year on the former site of the Warburton Community Pool. The transformation from a run down pool to a vibrant splash park is complete, and as of yesterday the water has been officially turned on! Here's a sneak peak of the Warburton Water World that kids will be able to enjoy once restrictions are lifted and we're able to open once more!

20.01.2022 Well, these sure are interesting times we are living in, due to this insidious Covid-19 pandemic. However, it currently is business as usual in the wonderful Yarra Valley, as we all continue to enjoy the wide open spaces at our holiday park. Whilst we have always adhered to rigorous cleaning standards, our diligent cleaning staff have lifted their disinfectant regimes to new heights. For the record, our Association’s current legal advice is that the presence of more than 100 people in a caravan park (for the normal operation of accommodation services), will not be a mass gathering within the meaning of the Direction published by the Victorian Chief Health Officer this week. In fact, with our wide open spaces, it may be an ideal time to come and visit Warburton! We hope to see you soon.

15.01.2022 We wish you were here! As you most likely know, whilst the Premier announced on Sunday 26th October that he was releasing some restrictions, unfortunately we are still prohibited from opening our holiday park. Hopefully at his next major press release, slated for 8th November, we will get the good news that we can re-open. We will inform everyone as soon as we have a definitive answer on opening. We hope to see you all very soon.... Warburton Holiday Park See more

15.01.2022 Warburton Holiday Park offers unsurpassed access to the crystal clear waters of the upper Yarra River with campsites sprawling over lush lawns set against the backdrop of the natural Australian bush of the Yarra Ranges.

08.01.2022 Lost Dog: we have just had handed to us a smallish black female dog, red collar with no tag. Unsure of the breed. Has a white chest and white socks. If you are the owner (or may know the owner), please phone Warburton Holiday Park after hours number on 0488 227 703. If you are able to re-post to any Warburton community pages, that would also be appreciated. Thanks.

07.01.2022 To all our beloved guests, it is with great sadness that we receive today’s latest announcement from the Victorian government that, effective from midnight tonight, all caravan parks are shut, except where they have permanent Residents, or certain travellers who are unable to get home. Until we are directed by the state government, we are also unable to have Annual Holiday Site Holders come to our park, given the prohibition on non-essential travel. As Owners and Staff, we ...are devastated by the current situation, but rest assured, we are determined to weather this storm, and to see you all at the other side. We will continue to operate behind closed doors with a skeleton staff - as our phones have been overwhelmed, we would appreciate your patience in responding to any query you may have. Should you need to make contact, it is best if you email our office and we will respond as soon as we can. We certainly acknowledge that everybody in business and employment is hurting right now, and know that our thoughts are with you all as you go through your own tough times.

05.01.2022 LATEST NEWS ABOUT THE EASING OF CAMPING RESTRICTIONS: As we mentioned with great excitement in our previous post, the State Government announced that people are able to go camping as of 1 June, with the restriction that ALL communal spaces had to be closed, (i.e. toilet blocks and camp kitchens). In line with the rules set by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), we have been taking bookings from 1 June, with the understanding that our campers have their own ‘se...lf-contained’ toilet and shower. Since that announcement, we have been swamped with calls and emails from people eager to come and visit our little slice of paradise. Well, effective this afternoon (28th May), the goal posts have moved again! Our industry has just had confirmation from the State Government that communal toilet blocks ARE able to be opened from 1 June. What does this change mean? Based on this updated information from the Government, it now appears that we are legally allowed to OPEN our toilet blocks, but conditions apply namely: Communal toilets will be OPENED; Showers are NOT able to be opened; and Certain Social Distancing rules are to be adhered to. When will Warburton Holiday Park open it’s toilet blocks? Given the reversal of rules that have just been announced, we need time to complete our renovations and adjustments to meet the new social distancing requirements. We have been caught out to a degree by this most recent government ‘back flip’, and we are not in a position to open our toilet blocks until Friday 5th June. Summary Our communal toilets will be OPEN from Friday 5th June (in time for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend); Showers will remain CLOSED; Social distancing rules are required; and Until the restrictions are lifted, we will continue to only take bookings from guests who are self-contained (has built-in toilet and shower facilities in a van, camper trailer, or motorhome) We apologise unreservedly for any angst or confusion that these revised rules may cause, and we ourselves have been extremely frustrated by the constant backflips to the new rules. At all times we have sought to follow the latest government directives and interpreted them as best we can. Guest and staff safety has been paramount at all times as we have navigated this evolving environment we just didn’t expect things to evolve quite as quickly as they have! At any rate, today’s announcement hopefully means that we can welcome back more people to our wonderful holiday park much faster than expected! Simon, David & Staff

04.01.2022 Have you heard the good news!? It has been a quiet couple of months without any of our beloved guests, however, from June the 1st we will officially be able to have you come and stay with us once again! We want to welcome you all back with open arms, allow everyone to taste the freedom of the great outdoors! However, a few important restrictions will still apply. Here is what we will be able to do from June the 1st:... We can accept guests into our Ensuite Cabins (as these are self-contained) We can accept guests in their own 'hard-roofed' Caravan or Motorhome (providing they have their own built-in bathroom facilities on board. Being self-contained is key!). We cannot accept guests in Caravans, Camper Trailers or Tents who rely on using our communal bathroom, kitchen, and laundry facilities as these will be closed. In addition to the above, we will continue to focus our efforts on additional cleaning, hygiene management, and responsible social distancing measures. Guest safety and wellbeing is paramount so we are taking it day by day at this stage and will update you as soon as we hear anything new. In the meantime, we are delighted to be welcoming some of our guests back to the park, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon! Simon, David and Staff

03.01.2022 This week we had the privilege of hosting a fantastic bunch of ex-serviceman, who are keen participants of an organisation known as VetRide. This group is all about supporting ex-service personnel of the Australian Defence Force, through a mutual love of cycling. With veterans from Vietnam, through to more recent conflicts in the Middle East, it was inspiring to see their passion for cycling, fun and mutual support. Whilst the weather was far from charming, they made the most... of their time in Warburton, and certainly ate some great meals, with the assistance of Yarra Valley Catering. We look forward to seeing these guys again!
